Re: [SOGo] Calendar permissions
El 16/06/11 13:29, Christian Mack escribió: Thanks, that's OK. But, where are the grant options? I didn't find anything relevant in the calendar settings or the calendar sharing dialogs. The only related thing I know is the SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles setting. After using sharing.. on the calendar, you get the list of users which have already privileges granted. In order to add another user to this list you have to klick on the address card with green plus sign (Add...). This opens a user search window. Now start typing the name or email address of the desired user. After each keystroke you get a list of some of the matching users (25 at most on my server). Type until you see the user you serch for. Select her entry in the list and press Add Close the search window. You now can see the user in the sharing list. Double click her. A window with the actual privileges set for her pops up. There you can grant whatever privileges you like to her. Then store these settings with Update. That's it. Hope this helps a bit. Yes, that's it! Thanks again! I tried right clicking, but not double clicking. Probably it's a UI detail that can be polished to be more easily discoverable, adding either an action on the toolbar or a context menu (the double clicking action is usually the first option of context menus, so IMHO makes sense). -- /Ing. But I bought also the Contact+ editor to be able to edit correctly extra fields that are not accessible with the standard contact editor on Android. The only problem I found is imho a SOGo problem: it seems that we can set only one phone number for Home, one for Work... And I would like to set multiple Home phone number. You can add that on the Android phone but only one will be synchronised back to SOGo. Re: [SOGo] Event invitations to outlook users
This is a topic extremely important to us as well. Anyone? On 06/15/2011 02:00 PM, randerson wrote: When inviting an external user who uses outlook to an event from SOGo there is no way for the user to respond to the invitation. ** Thunderbird ** If an event is created using Thunderbird, in a SOGo calendar, they get an event invitation with the text: randerson has invited you to New Event. Start: 06/17/11 at 11:00 End: 06/17/11 at 12:00 Description: The invitation has an attachment. If the user opens the attachment it says This meeting is not in the Calendar, it may have been moved or deleted. Also the buttons to Accept, Decline, etc.. are grayed out. There is no way for the user to respond to the event. ** SOGo web interface ** If an event is created using the SOGo web interface, they get an event invitation with the same text: randerson has invited you to New Event... The invitation has an attachment. But if the user opens the attachment it opens the email message editor. There is nothing to indicate that the attachment was a event invite. It just looks like you are attempting to send an email. I have tested this with both Outlook 2003 and 2010. Thanks in advance for your help. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] Slowness of Thunderbird/Lightning/Integrator setup

We have approx 8 test users at the moment, so I don't think the server is at fault. Share your configuration. You must customize the SOGo Integrator so please show the customizations you've done, together with your Apache and SOGo configuration. If you also use updates.php, show that too. Regards, Hello Ludovic Although we use Integrator, as yet I have made no changes to it that are being pushed, so I am a little confused when you say '/You must customize the SOGo Integrator so please show the customizations you've done/', nor do I yet have an updates.php, (although I don't think this matters). Perhaps the lack of customisations to Integrator is where my problems lie ? Could be, the integrator xpi you get from the download page is configured to work together with the sogo demo/test site. If you just use it unmodifyed, it might well try to access some wrong sites and does not find the correct informations... I've now setup the full updates.php system which is working fine. Although Thunderbird clients are picking up Addons fine, there doesn't appear to be much of an improvement in speed of Thunderbird/Lightning, Integrator, Connector, etc combination. That said one user that had issues with caching, and errors now has a fully working setup after pointing her pc to the sogo-plugins to pick up addons and be controlled config wise. Why I dont know, but one beneficial effect ;-) I'm not sure what else I can do, the slowness is livable with, but I just wanted to know approximately if this combination usually performed much more slowly than just Thunderbird on its own -- Lightning with thunderbird 3 is just poor. Thunderbird 2 with earlier versions of lightning works much better.. Kind Regards, Julian Robbins -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] SOGo/OpenChange installation and configuration guide
Hello, We've released an initial documentation on how to install and configure OpenChange and the SOGo provider for it on an existing SOGo installation (which needs to be compiled from source, for now). This will allow people to try our the native Outlook compatibility layer which now works with Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010. The documentation is available from: http://wiki.sogo.nu/OpenChangeInstallationConfiguration Note that this documentation will eventually be removed from the wiki and moved to an official installation/configuration guide. Also note that our work is still a technological preview - initial betas are planned for July. Nonetheless, testing is welcome. [SOGo] SOGo vs. Firefox on Android
I tried to use Firefox on Android to access SOGo (because the free WIFI I was on would not let me use port 25, 587 and/or 143). Any time I would access my SOGo servers homepage Firefox closed the tab immediately. Technically FF on Android should be capable to deal with SOGo HTML, CSS and JS. Is there any reason, besides that FF on Android doesn't seem to be supported yet, why it should not be supported in the future? p@rick -- state of mind () http://www.state-of-mind.de Franziskanerstraße 15 Telefon +49 89 3090 4664 81669 München Telefax +49 89 3090 4666 Amtsgericht MünchenPartnerschaftsregister PR 563 -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
