[SOGo] Which version of Funambol server to use
The documentation for SOGo v. 1.3.11 says that Funambol server v. 8.5.2 is supported. Is this still correct, do people have this combo working? As I seem to be unable to get SOGo syncing with the Funambol server, I am wondering if it is some other version of the Funambol server that I should be installing (such as the newest 10.0.3)... Perhaps it would be good to directly go to the 2.x code. This is the 1.5.x branch, but the backend API is (almost) the same, from quick a look I didn't spot much difference. So if it works with 1.5.x, we can quickly move the backend to 2.x. The problem is that I guess that 2-3 weeks of development time is needed to get two-way syncing of both calendar and contacts working and most bugs have been ironed out. I currently don't have the free time to do it and don't think there are enough people/companies willing to donate money to fund the development (but if you are, speak up here or in private, maybe I'm wrong and something like a kickstarter crowdfunding of this feature is possible). I could also spend time on that project. Forking on github is very easy, if you have any questions about the code just ask, but I think the code shouldn't be that hard to understand and I tried to comment things that might be. [SOGo] Multidomain random disconnection [Solution inside]
Hello, for a while (from 1.3.9 I think) we have been experiencing random disconnection in the WebUI. A user could login, but after reading some email, or adjusting some preferences, he would be asked to enter his credentials again. To be noted is that: - we use email as login - we use bindFields = ( mail ) to allow that I noticed in the log that randomly, the string that was generated by SOGo had the domain present two time in it: u...@example.com = u...@example.com@example.com After some time trying to adjust parameters for a configuration that perfectly worked till now, I figured out that setting SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID = YES was the missing element. This forced us to migrate user calendars/AB though. I do not see why all of a sudden we need to set this parameters, but I wanted to let the mailing list know in case somebody is experiencing the same weird behavior from SOGo. -- Bruno Léon -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Hi, 2012/2/7 André Schild an...@schild.ws: So you mean: Calendar entries from Sogo - Outlook work Calendar entries from Outlook - Sogo don't work No. The only thing that works is Outlook - Funambol as I can see the Outlook items in Funambol webapp But Funambol - SOGo does not work And neither does SOGo - Funambol (and therefore Funambol - Outlook) How does SOGo and Funambol compare what is new and neets to be synced? Perhaps there is some time/date related setting wrong and therefore nothing is synced between Funambol and SOGo? This would also explain why I get no errors as in principal everything works. Re: [SOGo] Which version of Funambol server to use
Hi, 2012/2/7 André Schild an...@schild.ws: I think they should NOT show up in funambol webapp! Usually this means that the SyncML clients are using some default sync source names, and not the newly added ones. When you did install the sogo connector in funambol server, you did create two new sync urls. (Probably sogo-card and sogo-cal) Lets get this straight: I need to use some other URL than http://sogo.mysogodomain.tld:8080/funambol/ds for syncing the SOGo items? This is what I have configured for the sync client at the moment: Location: http://sogo.mysogodomain.tld:8080/funambol/ds Username: test...@mydomain.tld Password: And this is what I did with funamboladmin: Modules sogo FunambolSOGoConnector SOGo SyncSource # added sogo-cal, sogo-todo, sogo-event and sogo-card like this: Source URI: sogo-card Name: sogo-card Supported type: text/x-vcard Database URL: jdbc:postgresql://127.0.0.1/sogo Database username: sogo Database password: sogo But in Windows Sync Client under Account I can configure only one Location, so if every resource (calendar, contacts) need a different URL, it is not possible to configure them? Hmm, now looking at Windows Sync Client settings, I see that there is also for each item an Advanced setting, for example for Calendar there is : Advanced Remote name: event Data format: vCalendar Should this be sogo-event instead? BTW what is the difference between sogo-event and sogo-cal? As there was a synsource type for both I created both but which one actually is handling the calendar events? And is todo same as task in the calendar? Best, Peter You must now also tell the syncml clients to use these sync URL's The funambol clients per default use standard names like card / cal / todo etc. And these are preconfigured in the funambol server to have a backend in the db of the server. So either: - Change the clients to use the sogo-xxx url's - Or remove the default sync sources in funambol and then add them with the sogo backend. [SOGo] SOGo extensions for Thunderbird 10!
Hello everybody, We've just completed porting SOGo Connector and Integrator to Thunderbird 10 ESR. You can get the first pre-release of the extensions from http://inverse.ca/downloads/extensions/nightly/ Note that you need to use Thunderbird 10 ESR. You also need to install Lightning v1.2.1 from the official channels. Please report any issues you have.
