[SOGo] Existing Samba4 Domain and OpenChange

2012-08-29 Thread ScottJ
I'm looking to add SOGo/OpenChange to an existing Samba4 domain environment and
confused on how to configure it. I'm going to setup OpenChange on it's own VM.
The SOGo/OpenChange documentation explains how to provision/configure Samba4 as
a new domain, but no where does it discuss what to do when an existing Samba4
domain already exists. Do I treat the OpenChange samba4 server as a secondary
DC? And if so, do I add the OpenChange parameters to my main Samba4 domain
server smb.conf file as well? Or, do I just create a completely separate domain
on the OpenChange server for it to use locally? It's not clear how OpenChange
interacts with existing Samba4 servers (or any existing AD server environment
as far as that goes) if at all.

Re: [SOGo] download attachement to a file in a zip format

2012-08-29 Thread Ludovic Marcotte

Hello Christophe,

I installed SOGO Version 1.3.17.
I want to know if a certain feature is available.
Is it possible to download all attachments of an email from sogo to a
file in zip format.

I did not find how to enable this in the documentation.

No it's not possible but this feature could be added.

Thanks,

[SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.18

2012-08-29 Thread Francis Lachapelle
The Inverse Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of SOGo
1.3.18. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on improved stability
over previous versions.

=== What is SOGo ===

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or by
using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and reuses
existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution easy to deploy
and interoperable with many applications.

SOGo features :

 * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many thousand
users
 * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features and the
data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
 * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using the
SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
 * Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices (BlackBerry,
Palm, Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector
 * Excellent integration with Apple iCal, Apple iOS and Android-based devices

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

=== Changes from the previous release ===

Enhancements
 * updated Catalan, Dutch, German, Hungarian, Russian, Spanish (Argentina), and
Spanish (Spain) translations
 * mail filters (Sieve) are no longer conditional to each other (all filters
are executed, no matter if a previous condition matches)
 * improved tasks list display
 * RPM packages now treat logrotate file as a config file
 * completed the transition from text/plain message templates to HTML
 * new packages for Debian 7.0 (Wheezy)

Bug Fixes
 * fixed passwords that would be prefixed with '{none}' when not using a
password algorithm
 * fixed handling of duplicated contacts in contact lists
 * fixed handling of exception dates with timezones in recurrent events
 * fixed validation of the interval in daily recurrent events with a day mask
covering multiple days
 * fixed name quoting when sending invitations

See http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/changelog_page.php?project_id=1 for closed tickets
and http://sogo.nu/files/downloads/SOGo/Sources/ChangeLog for the complete
change log.

Regrettable, but no… I have no use for resources. It just looked to me like you
were trying to make the feature work in a way it wasn't designed. Good luck
though.

Any ideas?

Re: [SOGo] Resource Creation with MySQL database

2012-08-29 Thread Karthikeyan BALASUBRAMANIAN

Hi Hugo,

The idea is to create a user i.e room1 whose invites are automatic.
If room1 invites
say user1 and user2, they don't need to "Accept" the invitation. In a
normal scenario
if user1 invites user2 then user2 have to accept the invitation. By
creating a user
"room1" with KindFieldName column value set to "location" should have
solved my

problem. But it didn't.

When user "room1" invites "user1", "user1" still gets a mail to
"Accept" the invitation.

  Any suggestions?

Nothing, you have to log in with this user "room1" once via SOGo
webinterface, in order to create its personal calendar.
In this calendar your invitation will be placed from there on.

[SOGo] Notifications about Modifications don't show the Calendar name

2012-08-29 Thread Alessio Fattorini

Hi,
i fill this bug http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=1929

I have enabled this parameters:
SOGoNotifyOnPersonalModifications = Yes
SOGoNotifyOnExternalModifications = Yes

I receive notification about Modifications but i can't understand about what Calendar i'm receiving
notify.
I can have multiple calendar where i enable this notification or other users can enable me to
receive notifications about their calendars.

Calendar Name is absolutely useful

What do you think about?

Hi Sven,

yes, that is true to have easy access to the xml and avoid errors.
But for overview and learning an XML-Tool with XML-Folding is better suited.

Hi Sebastian,

you can use emacs, which has built in XML validation and editing of
XMLs. The most comfortable tool is Eclipse with the XML perspective.

I recommend not to edit the file directly. Use "defaults write sogod …" as
described in the documentation :)

If using a Mac, you might try to use the plist-editor, but I never have tried
to save values; only reading, which works perfectly.
