Re: [SOGo] LDAP email alias mangle

A quick rundown of the topology.
I have a machine called gateway set up with SOGo on it using postfix as
the MDA / MTA. Mutt is on the same machine mainly for testing so I can
be sure they are both using the localhost service. Evolution is also set
up to use the gateway as the smtp server. I feel reasonably confident
that it's not an issue with the smtp server, but rather the interaction
between SOGo and the LDAP server.

I had it configured in a similar way with SOGo 1.3 and ClearOS 5.2,
although the clearMailAliases didn't exist then, I had to make do with
putting them in the street field which worked ok.

You don't mention it in your reply so forgive me for asking. Are your
email aliases stored in an LDAP server too? and which version of SOGo
are you running?

I've checked the LDAP server using jxplorer and the aliases are being
stored fine. After a little more testing, the mangled from addresses
seem to be being generated from the CNFieldName field, so where I have
cn="Name Surname" I get FROM: Name@fqdn, Surname@fqdn
where I have cn="Name M. Surname" I end up with FROM: Name@fqdn,
M.Surname@fqdn

I see. Yes, I am storing my users, aliases, and groups (mailing list?)
in an openldap tree. I'm running SOGo 2.0.2. The openldap server is
running Debian Squeeze and the SOGo / mail server is running Ubuntu
Server 12.04. I'm using postfix and dovecot for handling mail.

Initially I hadn't set up my users to allow them to choose the alias
they send from. However, I've gone ahead and set it up like that to test
your problem, and it works with no mangling. So it may be a
configuration issue. To test I used the street attribute for aliases and
added MailFieldNames=(mail, street) to the SOGoUserSource.

Check your mail logs to see if you have mail arriving at your SMTP
server from SOGo with the mangled addresses. If SOGo is indeed mangling
your aliases, you'd probably need to post your SOGo configuration for
someone to see where the problem lies.

Cheers,

Simon

I hope this clarifies the issue somewhat.

Hi.
I've set up SOGo 2.0.1 on ClearOS 6.3 (based on RHEL6.3) using the
instructions found here

http://www.clearfoundation.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,232/catid,40/func,view/id,45488/#45488
Those instructions say nothing about how you've setup your mail server(s).

It all works fine apart from when I try to send mail using aliases with
periods (full stops) in like this

e.g. one.two@fqdn or a.b.cee@fqdn

I end up with two addresses in the FROM field like
one@fqdn, o.two@fqdn

The aliases are provided from LDAP as per the link. (see the line
MailFieldNames=(clearMailAliases, mail) ) I can send mail from other
clients (mutt & evolution) without the mangling happening so I'm pretty
sure it's the webmail part of SOGo that isn't happy. Can you help?

Almost all of my email users and some aliases have a dot in their
address: firstname.surn...@example.net
How are mutt and Evolution configured to send mail? Perhaps ClearOS is
configured to use clearMailAliases in the LDAP server for email aliases.
However, that does change the way SOGo sends email: it looks like you've
configured SOGo to send via SMTP on the localhost. That maybe where your
problem is.

[SOGo] NEW integrator extension 10.0.3

2012-11-05 Thread Marc Patermann

Hi,

while http://www.sogo.nu/english/downloads/frontends.html still states
"SOGo Integrator Thunderbird extension Version 10.0.3 (released on July
26th 2012)" this is linked to a file
"sogo-integrator-10.0.3-sogo-demo.xpi	30-Oct-2012 09:48 151K"

in http://www.sogo.nu/files/downloads/extensions/
So this is silently updated.

I know because I was informed by the bugtracker
http://sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=1977

This might be useful to others, too.

Dear Sogo-Team, why do you don't make this more publicly, while everyone
downloading the extension now, is getting it anyway?

[SOGo] Default "Confidentiality level" for event created outside of SOGo

2012-11-05 Thread Thibault Le Meur
Hi again,

Another issue I'm facing: when I create an event from an iPad or
Outlook, and then get the event synchronized to SOGo, the default
confidentiality level doesn't match the default user-defined
confidentiality level. It is still "Public" (which may be the default
system-defined confidentiality level).

Screenshot can be seen at: http://i.troll.ws/965439d1.png

Am I missing something ?

Thank you in advance,
Thibault

[SOGo] Category-based color not displayed when even comes from an Outlook synchronization ?

2012-11-05 Thread Thibault Le Meur
Hi,

I've found a weird behaviour of the SOGo web interface.
When an event is synchronized from Outlook (using the Funambol synch
client), the catégory is correctly set on the imported event, but even
if this category exists in SOGo (with a given color), the color is not
displayed in the SOGo web calendar.

Screenshot can be seen at: http://i.troll.ws/75025ed6.png

Steps to reproduce:
1- create the same 'Category' in both Otlook and SOGo and assign a color
2- create an event in Outlook within this category
3- use Funambol Sync client to synchronize the SOGo calendar
4- the event is imported, together with the corresponding category,
but the color isn't displayed
5- to see the color, the event must be opened and saved (without any
modification)

If the event is created in SOGo and then synchronized to Outlook The
displayed event in Outlook gets the correct category-based color.

Any idea about how to fix this issue ?

Best regards,
Thibault

Re: [SOGo] Funambol Outlook Sync Client Issue

2012-11-05 Thread Michal Kminek

Hi,

I suffered from encoding issues. I even tried to set-up the Funambol
server on MS Windows or I replaced the embeded JRE, to find the cause.
Later I again revised the install guide and updated my MySQL config and
the problem was solved. Try with different MS Outlook version or another
device. BTW Funambol doesn't work with Outlook 64bit. Review the
installation manual step by step.

Which language did you specify in the config? Try setting it to plain
english and see if it works:

If you specify no language or a language that is not supported, you get
the aforementioned error message.
