Re: [SOGo] Invitations send by subscribers
Hello Götz Reinecke Am 2013-05-02 14:44, schrieb Götz Reinicke - IT Koordinator: we do have a calender for our department, where all coworkers are subscribed and are allowed do add new or edit existing appointments. But for now only invitations I'v send are received by the invited person. Invitations from coworkers are not send. I'm the owner of the calendar. May be thats by design or if not, which setting may I check/change? I think your problem stems from the fact, that all other persons are not owner of that calendar. So the events/appointments other users write into this calendar are like invitations already send by some other user. Could you check my theory, by delegating your account to one of them. If she then inserts an event/appointment into your calendar, it should send all invitations. Perhaps you should report a bug about that anyway at http://www.sogo.nu/bugs But that aside. You could use a resource account for that department calendar (we do that). So no one must have write access to that. You and your coworkers only have to invite that resource to your own apointments and it will autoaccept that appointment if not blocked by another one. Re: [SOGo] libkcal 4.3 vs all others
Hello mourik jan heupink Am 2013-05-02 20:05, schrieb mourik jan heupink: I have a calendar containing 1500+ imported ics items. (exported from google calendar) Accessing it over calDAV works with all clients, except with Korganizer and my Nokia N9 harmattan. (both based on libkcal 4.3, judging on the raw source from the appointments they create) They both don't display any of the 1500 imported appointments in the calendar, but adding items to the calendar works, and those new appointments DO work on all clients. I did not understand what was going on, but looking at the SOGo database shows the following: It looks as if all imported items (via the SOGo webinterace) have c_names in the form of 4DE4-51781380-179-8C92BC0 and 9A5-517D4E00-11D5-12074FE0. All 'handmade' appointments added later (via N9, Kontact, or SOGo web access) seem to have c_names like ebbbf942-0be8-49f8-9b57-feb303b767e1.ics and 2953-5166F580-5D-422BA600.ics so: with an extension. So the missing extension seems to be the difference between 'handmade' appointments and an imported .ics file. And I'm guessing now that libkcal 4.3 needs the ics extension, and all others also read appointments without the extension. I'm no expert at all, but does this make any sense? Or am I talking nonsense, and should I be looking somewhere else? Normally you get events with .ics ending. So yes, this makes sense. You can just try it yourself by renaming them. (Perhaps you should use a freshly created calendar for that with copied events/appointments ;-) Kind regards, Christian Mack -- Christian Mack Gruppe Informationsdienste Rechenzentrum Universität Konstanz -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] Re: libkcal 4.3 vs all others
Hi, Interesting new discoveries: - Importing a file.ics (with 1500 appointments) via the SOGo web access generates mysql c_names WITHOUT an .ics extension, which do NOT show up in Kontact and Korganizer. - Importing file.ics via thunderbird/lightning generates mysql c_names WITH an .ics extension, which DO show up in Kontact and Korganiser. I guess this can be considered something that is 'broken' in SOGo? At least there appears to be room for improvement..? Should I file a bug about this? Because Kontact/Korganizer and my Nokia N9 Meego both use libkcal 4.3, I expected my imported appointments finally to show up on the N9 as well. However... I was wrong... :-( So again my question: Could anyone here who happens to own an N9 try to import an ics file into sogo, and check if those imported appointments show up on the N9 Calendar, using caldav?
