[SOGo] how to add a user to SOGo
I'm running a ZEG 2.1.1 and added a new user with webmin as described on the infopage of ZEG. I created the mailbox with ssh also as described. I also did the following: # add user to samba samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --complexity=off samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --min-pwd-length=1 samba-tool user add username samba-tool user setexpiry username --noexpiry # create user in openchange openchange_newuser --create username But when I open the webpage and type in the user + password I get wrong username or password. What about transferring ~/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults to /etc/sogo/sogo.conf? Is the above procedure automated now or it still requires manual transfer with sogo-tool? Thanks, Igor Ludovic Marcotte wrote, On 15/04/2014 03:44: On 2014-04-14, 5:08 PM, Terry Welch wrote: Im currently running version 2.0.5a-1.centos6 and would like to update to 2.2.3-1.centos6. Re: [SOGo] how to add a user to SOGo
With Zeg, it's a little bit more complicated as there is also an OpenLDAP database. You have to you webmin (Not sure exactly the tool) to create the user in OpenLDAP in same time. [SOGo] SSL problem adding Card/CalDAV accounts to iOS devices
Hi all, Ok, the first few devices I set up had a few minor issues (some typos too), but I was finally able to get them working. Now, I have an iPad and an iPhone that are having bigger problems. On the iPad, I constantly get an 'Unable to connect with SSL' error every time, with both Card and CalDAV accounts. I just did an iPhone, and it did the same exact thing, then on the second try, it took the CalDAV account successfully, but after 3 tries for the CardDAV account, its a no go. Anyone else seeing this? Oh - we are using self-signed certificates... but like I said, the first few devices worked pretty much out of the box. I do see that both of these devices are still on 7.0.4, so I'm gonna try updating the iPhone to 7.1 and see if that helps... Other than that, anyone have any other suggestions? -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] GetOut - fork of the Funambol Outlook connector
Would love a response, Adam... I hope this project can help to build truly open source groupware without need of proprietary 3rd party modules. I'm really sorry if this advertisement is inappropriate for this ML. I for one appreciate it and your efforts, but have some questions... 1. If you are successful getting full Cal/CardDAV support working, these will/should work perfectly with older Outlook versions (2010 at least, and maybe even 2007 or even 2003)? Yes. API which is used to communicate with Outlook is same for all versions so same code can handle all Outlooks with very minor modifications. 2. Will Task syncing be supported? Yes. 3. What will be the license? Original Funambol connector is licensed under AGPLv3 and I don't plan to change it. All excellent news, thanks Adam! 4. What are these 'Outlook Redemption libraries' - which are non-free, commercially licensed - that are required for installation, why are they needed, and will they always be needed? I plan to get rid of Redemption libraries but not in near future. They are used to bypass Microsoft Outlook security patch which prevents connector to work fine without user input (you will have to confirm that other app wants to modify your calendar etc...) Ok, so, one follow-up question on this... On the download site for the redemption libraries, it specifically says: This version displays a message box when it is installed on any computer. It is licensed for the development purposes only and cannot be used with any commercial software. Includes both 32 and 64 bit versions. http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/download.htm I'm guessing since both SOGo and the new GetOut Connector are free/open-source licensed, there is no problem using them until you are able to remove the requirement? Last question... how long do you anticipate before you have something that is usable/ready for testing? Thanks *very* much for your efforts! -- Best regards, Charles -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
