[SOGo] Outlook 2013 crashes when connecting to SOGo with ActiveSync

2015-06-15 Thread Angelo Machils

Hello,

Outlook 2013 is installed on a freshly install Win8.1 Enterprise (with a
VM), no other applications have been installed yet. After successfully
configuring Outlook to connect to my mailserver (so ActiveSync is
running correctly) Outlook starts to sync, but crashes after a while.
After this, Outlook crashes as soon as I start the application.

In the SOGo log I can only see:

[SOGo] email_backend

2015-06-15 Thread artbalauro
Hi,

I want to ask for suggestions for my email backend. right now Im using
Iredmail for my email backend and sogo for my frontend. Now I want to
eliminate my backend system w/c is the iredmail.
I'm using iredmail for my email domain administrations, like managing all my
email users account using mysql.

Like on my other email server I use's vqadmin and qmail admin for email
administrations. And my email interface I used Squirrelmail.

I want to ask for your help for another email backend that I can use to manage
my domain and email accounts. Setup for LDAP or MS AD is not applicable for my
mail server for this situation.

thank you,

Hi Christian,I see. Is that how you configured your system?AdvancedFunctionalTechnologyFrom: Christian M. JensenSent: Sunday 14 June 2015 14:03To: users@sogo.nuReply To: users@sogo.nuSubject: Re: [SOGo] sendmail using external smtp with multiple users

hi

you are right the missing ssl/tls is usually a no go now a days, an
other way is to use 'stunnel' for the comunication between your
server and your service provider.

  Hello Christian,

  Thank you for
your reply.

Well I did try that, but for some reason my service
providers smtp server did not allow the connection. ‎Will try
  again for test reasons.

But the bigger concern is security. Ssl doesn't seem
to be supported, and communicating email and password in plain
  seems dangerous.
  Unless I am missing something.

I did not specify, the service provider's smtp
  server is a remote server.

Am I founded in my concerns ?

  Kind regards,

Hi Alexander

my suggestion is to allow SOGo to connect to the outgoing smtp
by settings

 SOGoSMTPAuthenticationType = PLAIN; // only
supports plain
 SOGoSMTPServer = "IP.OF.SMTP.SERVER";

this way you don't have to use sendmail on your local server,
the settings can be set global and for each domain

  Hello,

I am currently setting up a Sogo groupware server, and I am having some issues
with the smtp server.
I opted to use our website host's imap and smtp server with Sogo.
I am able to receive emails however when I follow tutorials to setup sendmail
with and external smtp server, I find that once the email is sent, the
information used to identify sogo for the smtp server is used as the sender
for the email. It makes sense.

My question is how to I configure sendmail to send using the id of the actual
person writing the email? Or is there a setting within the sogo configuration
files that sets the sender id to the user writing the email rather that the
smtp user name?

Ps: our service providers smtp login information is an email.

Thank you for any assistance you may provide.

Alexander

[SOGo] Stand-alone Openchnage

2015-06-15 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi,

Is it possible, using Outlook Anywhere and RPC over HTTP, to have
computers on one domain (i.e. xyzzy.local) connect using outlook to
SOGo/OpenChange on another domain (i.e. xyzzy.com).

I initially wanted to join the SOGo/OpenChange/Samba server to the
current domain, but it seems the WIndows 2003 SP2 (NOT R2) server isn't
supported by Samba, unless I'm mistaken.

So the initial plan is to

1. Move email to new domain/server
2. Slowly move users to new domain
3. Get rid of Windows 2003 SBS

[SOGo] Starting Samba/OpenChange

2015-06-15 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi,

According to I should see the following when I start Samba:

MAPIPROXY server 'exchange_ds_rfr' registered
MAPIPROXY server 'exchange_nsp' registered
MAPIPROXY server 'exchange_emsmdb' registered
MAPIPROXY server mode enabled
MAPIPROXY proxy mode disabled

But, I only see:

MAPIPROXY server mode enabled
mapiproxy/libmapiproxy/dcesrv_mapiproxy_server.c:187(mapiproxy_server_load):
MAPIPROXY proxy mode disabled
mapiproxy/servers/default/nspi/dcesrv_exchange_nsp.c:1606(dcesrv_exchange_nsp_init):
dcesrv_exchange_nsp_init

Has something changed in the startup, or did I do something wrong?

[SOGo] free/busy between two organizations - expose free/busy in SOGo / Read external free/busy

2015-06-15 Thread Marc Patermann

Hi,

is there a way to

a) expose the free/busy information for (some) internal SOGo users to
other users outside the SOGo system (like an Exchange Organization)?
   If yes, how?
Is Outlook able to display this information like MS expects in
   https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/291621 - Internet Free/Busy
   (IFB)?

b) If Outlook/Exchange is able to expose the free/busy information
(which seems to be the case,
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/291621)
how can I make use of this information in SOGo?
Especially if we use Thunderbird with the SOGo extensions?

Seems the column c_description is missing
 somebody had the same problem?

You probably didn't run the appropriate script to update the DB
structure as the upgrade instructions say:

| Upgrading to v2.3.0
|
| Run the shell script sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0.sh or
sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0-mysql.sh (if
| you use MySQL).
|
| This will grow the participant states field of calendar quick tables
| to a larger size and add the the c_description column to calendar
| quick tables.
|
| Moreover, if you are using a multi-domain configuration, make sure the
| keys for your domains match the email domains you have defined.
