None of the issues you are having are "normal" and there's obviously no
limitation in v3 that would make it not work.

[SOGo] Problems with sogo v3

2016-02-11 Thread Norbert Muda

Hello,

I have tested Sogo V3 but I experienced two problems with 3.0.1 version :

- I can't find the way to move a mail from inbox to a another subfolder.
How can I do ?

- When I click on the delete icon (using safari on osx) to delete a
mail, the browser windows closes. Using chrome on the same computer,
clicking on the delete icon works fine. Is there an incompatibility with
safari ?

Thanks

Best regards

Ah, sorry...

Well, the pricing looks reasonable - *if* there is some benefit...

So, what is the 'SerNEt' benefit over and above just installing it
yourself from source? Is it just the support (still paid, it looks like)?

[SOGo] Invite Dates Wrong

2016-02-11 Thread Bob Wooldridge
I recently had to delete and recreate the Thunderbird profile of one of
my users. Afterwards, several invite acknowledgments showed in the
wrong order when sorted by date. There were many messages with dates
way off (from 2009 and 2010) showing as current. I tried rebuilding the
folder but this did not change anything. I noticed that the headers of
these messages were sparse and did not contain much information. Never
the less, when viewing the folder in the SOGo web interface, they
appeared in correct order. Any ideas on what is causing this?

[SOGo] First Configuration and some Problems

2016-02-11 Thread Oliver Werner
Hello,

We would try Sogo and have successfully installed with LDAP Auth so i can Login.

But now we have some issues.

1. After some actions with a user i got an Proxy Error in the Browser. follow
error was found in sogo.log:

EXCEPTION: NAME:NSInvalidArgumentException
REASON:NSDataMalloc(instance) does not recognize isJSONString INFO:(null)

After remove user from sogo_user_profile table i can login again until this
error came again.

2. When i would create a new contact this will be done but in my overview its
not appears. After reload the Page i see the content but on click this removed
again from page…

3. I have configured public addressbook from LDAP but nothing will shown (but
Login works)

4. When add a calendar event on iCal i got error 501 from server and when
create the event on sogo web frontend nothing happens.

On log i saw this error:

You can not!
You would have to hack the SOGo server code in order to do so.

But I don't see the usecase for that anyway.

Belive me, you do not want all events, which users add to their
calendars in one calendar.
If you want every public attendable event in one calendar, then just use
one calendar and share it with everyone.

Or you could use a ressource in SOGo and only allow invitation of that
ressource calendar.

He's probably referring to SerNet's repositories (which are not free). The
latest samba version is 4.3.4 as you mention (and it's free like has been
the last 24 years).

Both Inverse and Zentyal create .deb packages only afaik so you would need
to compile it yourself (and probably deal with issues).

Here [0] you have a howto but I don't know if it works but it could be a
good place to start.

Thanks for your reply an your tips.

It would help me a lot if you, or someone else, could tell me where (in
the code) sogo saves an event. Then I could "simply" add the command to
invite another user.

Thanks!

A guess : there's a difference between the header "Date" and
"Received". Date means whenever the sender server claims it sent the
email message. Received is when your mail server claims it received the
email message. Maybe your recreating the Thunderbird profile caused new
Date or Received header dates to be created. Maybe Sogo is sorting on
"Date", and your Thunderbird app is sorting on "Received." Or vice versa.

With the release of the 4.3 packages SerNet changed to SAMBA+: 4.3 packages as

Hey guys,

My idea is to auto-invate a user like alleve...@example.com for every event.
I was able to implement this feature in the Webinterface.
But thats just for the Webinterface and not for third-party applications.

So my actual question is, how can i auto-invite a user in thunderbird or
outlook?
Maybe manipulating the sogo-database with a script?!

Thank you very much,

2016-02-11 Thread Christian Mack
Hello

You are obviously using SOGo V3.
That is absolutely new, and not yet feature complete.
You should check the bug reports at http://www.sogo.nu/bugs first.

If you want to try configurations with all features (without adaptive
web interface!), then try SOGo V2.

Kind regards,

Re: [SOGo] DMARC and mailing list (offtopic)

Thanks for pointing it out. We just setup the mailing list software to
specially handle e-mail received from such senders.

Please let us know if you encounter other related issues.

So as far as I know, there should not be any need for subscribers to
whitelist posts coming from this list.

Cheers,
