Re: [SOGo] Sogo upgrade from V2.3.0 to V3

2016-05-27 Thread Amit Armoogum

Hi Götz,

Of course, many are requesting this on Zentyal Official Forum.

I have talked around me about changes coming also on samba,
openchange etc...

I surely don't want to break my primary DC or else I'll get fired
:s :)

To resume, I will be upgrading to 2.3.2 Sogo as it is included in
the Zentyal repository source list.

  root@:~# apt-cache madison sogo
  sogo | 2.3.2-zentyal3 | http://archive.zentyal.org/zentyal/
4.1/main amd64 Packages
  sogo | 2.1.1b-1 | http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/
trusty/universe amd64 Packages

Again will be testing this on a side VM...

Thanks for your concern!

Hi Christian

Many thanks for your reply.

Well on zentyal, things do not work with repos,

I mean there are specific repos for Zentyal and as Sogo is considered as a
Zentyal module it doesn't upgrade on zentyal repos because Sogo V3 has not been
included on Zentyal repos yet

Yes I am also using OpenChange, Webmail, Samba, Spamassassin, Clamav,
Amavis all of them bundled in Zentyal modules.

Oh I wasn't aware of this new release. thanks for the info.

I guess I will have to run a classical update by adding the Sogo V3 repos
to my apt list.

I hope and I pray I will not get into trouble! (I've backuped my VM by
snapshotting it ... )

I'll keep you all updated...

Amen :)

Hello

Which repos do you use?
You have to switch to the v3 ones.
Then update sogo via apt and reinstall sope.
That is all.

But if you also use openchange, you better should wait for the announced
update of that to the new samba version.

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

This is a known problem with the current stable version of openchange.
It needs a specific (old) samba version to function at all.

This week there was an announcement, that there is a new version coming
out soon(tm), which will work with the normal recent samba versions.

So you either have to get the needed version of samba first, or wait
till the next version is coming out.

[SOGo] Problems installing openchange

2016-05-27 Thread Thomas Robers - TuTech Innovation GmbH
Hello,

I've installed SOGo 3.1.0-1 under Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS and everything
works as expected regarding SOGo.
Then I wanted to install the native Microsoft Outlook
compatibilitylayer SoGo offers. But installing openchangeserver
fails with the error message:

It seems that there's a conflict between the packages from ubuntu an
inverse. Is there something I'm missing? I followed the documentation
for installing Microsoft native Outlook support which says:

> apt-get install openchangeserver \
> sogo-openchange \
> openchangeproxy \
> python-ocsmanager \
> mysql-server \
> python-mysqldb \
> openchange-ocsmanager \
> openchange-rpcproxy \
> python-sievelib \
> python-spyne \
> python-rpclib

and I could not find any further information regarding my problem.

Does anybody had similar problems and got them solved?

I primarily wanted to install SOGo and openchange under CentOS 6/7
but there no packages for openchangeserver I think, or are there
any packages but I only couldn't find them?

Any hint is appreciated.

Many thanks

Thomas

Re: [SOGo] Question about sync sogo and thunderbird

Autocompletion is only possible with one LDAP source and local address
books in Thunderbird.
As the synchronized ones are not local ones, you only can use one LDAP
address book.
If you added e.g. the global address book from SOGo as "read only" one
(as you should), then you can choose it as "LDAP" source under
"Settings" --> "Create" --> "Addressing" --> "LDAP server" (beware: I
retranslated those from a german version).
SOGo Connector will fake LDAP access to that address book for Thunderbird.
Therefore all addresses in that will be used for autocompletion.

Hope that helps a bit.

Christian Mack
