[SOGo] SOGo v4 - Still missing "identities"

Hi


Congrats for v4

There is still one missing feature which blocks me and surely many ithers 
to use Sogo : Identities


In Roundcube or Evolution/Thunderbird or many other mail clients, one can 
define several identities (i.e. separate Name and email for the sending 
address when composing a message) on one unique Imap account


Is there a plan to add this feature ?

I have been using Sogo for the last few years on an Ubuntu 16.04 server, and
used the Nigthly updates.

Since 26.2. (the day V4 was announced) the url
'https://packages.inverse.ca/SOGo/nightly/4/ubuntu xenial InRelease' was not
updated.

 

Will Nightlies for Ubuntu still be provided?

What is the URL?

More reading revealed, that pigeonhole uses UTF-8 …. already …. 
https://wiki.dovecot.org/Pigeonhole/Sieve/Troubleshooting 


So, may be it would be cool to have an pigeonhole option to set the encoding 
for systems which are using UTF-7 for a lng time …?

Or I do have to convert everything to uff-8 …

Hm. ok. I checked and dovecot and SOGo are configured/using utf-7 (no :UTF-8 in 
dovecot conf) so the sieve filter should work by default ?!

I’m confused @-) Any hints?

Current Case: we have LDAP with all Users inside. As projectgroups are 
very dynamic, people make groups
in their private addressbook and add their team-members from global 
addressbook (LDAP).
When they now want to invite the group to an event they have the problem 
that a free-busy lookup is not possible/available

though all members of the group are also available within LDAP.

Is there any chance to make this work or do we have to stick with 
LDAP-Groups?

The setting of SOGoSieveFolderEncoding must match your dovecot setting
in mail_location.
Default in Dovecot is mUTF-7-encoding
If there is a ":UTF-8" in mail_location, then you have UTF-8-encoding in
dovecot.

If changed in SOGo on an already productive server, you have to change
the encoding of all folders created with SOGo and non-ASCII characters
to UTF-8 with:
doveadm mailbox mutf7 -7 ${WRONG_FOLDER_NAME}
Best to do that in a script ;-)
