[SOGo] Chrome - Firefox

2011-06-22 Thread Brian Lockwood
In Firefox 4 (FC15 intel) I find that the choice to display calendars
appears as a blank white square box into which I can put a tick.
In Chrome, the same type of check box appears as a slightly more
sophisticated icon which will not click, however, other checkboxes that
appear to look the same do check OK.
The only one I have found that does not work is the choice of whether to
deisplay entries from a particular calendar or not.

Re: [SOGo] Bidirectional sync on Todo's not working - Android and Funambol

I care about the Apache thing, have you documented it anywhere?

On 6 March 2011 19:27, fire...@aaryaveda.com wrote:
I've successfully configured Funambol 9.0.0 to work with SOGo 1.3.5a.

Since the phone is a Samsung Epic and only runs Android 2.1, the Funambol Sync
app only allows for Contacts and Tasks sync. While the Contacts sync works
 fine
with updates moving bi-directionally, the same is not true for Tasks.

Tasks created/updated on SOGo make it via Funambol to the Android phone.
However, tasks created on the phone, or updated on the phone, fail the sync
back to SOGo. There is an exception in the Funambol server from the Funambol
 Sogo-connector code.

The Funambol sync app reports successful completion, but no data is updated on
the server. The above is the error when an existing SOGo task was updated on
the phone and a sync was attempted via Funambol. The following thread on the
Funambol list seems to show a similar exception when syncing a new task
 created
 on the phone.
 https://core.forge.funambol.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=405dsMessageId=148697

Since this appears to point to a problem with the Funambol SOGo Connector
 code,
does anyone have an Android phone successfully doing bidirectional syncs on
 Tasks with SOGo?

As an aside, for those who care, I have TLS configured as well with an Apache
ajp_proxy so that the Funambol connections between Android and the Funambol
 server are encrypted.

This way, you can permanently give priority for particular repos.

Correct. I just used memcached and libevent from SOGo (inverse) instead

 be
running the exact same thing the developers are in case I have an issue

Since there is now a way to avoid this issue using the CentOS

point drop these packages from their repository. I'll switch then.

and memcached is running on the test server.
Have you ever installed these rpms on a new RHEL5 or CentOS5?
or have you ever compiled SOPE-1.3.5 on a new RHEL5?
I mean it's done on a separate server(not from yum or upgrade on
 an exiating one).

Yes, I have installed this from scratch (rpm) on a CentOS 5 server.
I don't have gcc-objc on my system. I'm guessing that was there for
 compiling purposes.

I'm not sure what else to suggest as your log errors are really
short. I guess I would run over my config again and maybe check to
 see if
 the rpm packages are intact.

 Steve

 Hi, Steve

I tried to install all those rpms on CentOS 5.5, but run into
 dependency issue:
 memcached-1.4.2-1.el5 needs libevent-1.1a, and CentOS 5.5 has
 libevent-1.4.13-1 installed.
So I can not install memcached-1.4.2-1.el5.i386.rpm on CentOS 5.5.
Can you let me know which version of CentOS 5 you are using for SOGo
 1.3.5a, or
how do you fix this dependency issue.

 Thanks,
 Allen

 All rpms are downloaded from
 http://www.sogo.nu/files/downloads/SOGo/RHEL5/i386/RPMS/,
 and memcached-1.4.2-1.el5.i386.rpm
 http://www.sogo.nu/files/downloads/SOGo/RHEL5/i386/RPMS/memcached-1.4.2-1.el5.i386.rpm
needs libevent-1.1a, but CentOS 5.5 comes with libevent-1.4.13-1.

Funambol does Contacts, Calendar and Tasks sync with sogo.
Mails are just as you would use them without sogo. (Probably imap)

 This isn't exactly true.

You can use push email with Funambol but for this, you have to use their
email application on your mobile device. Funambol can then be configured
with your email account info and it'll push (ie., send a specially crafted
SMS message AFAIR) notifications for new mails.

[SOGo] Re push email

2011-02-06 Thread Brian Lockwood
Having got SOGo working very well I want to get push email to work.

My understanding with Funambol was that I could push email to clients using
syncml.

Am I right in thinking that this is nothing to do with SOGo and just a combo
of Funambol
and Cyrus.

Any good resources on this?

[SOGo] Timeout after 1.35 upgrade

I get a timeout after 5 minutes in the wbe interface, even if it is being

Re: [SOGo] Timeout after 1.35 upgrade

2011-02-01 Thread Brian Lockwood
Hi, thanks for thta. Seems to be resolved. I use yum to keep my Centos 5.5
uptodate and consequently, if the package does not update my .GNUDefaults I
do not always see requirements to add bits to .GNUDefaults

Of course I may be doing my updates wrong.

 Hi all,

we have the same problems here - very fast timeout on the web-interface

 Any hints? Config entries?

 OCSSessionsFolderURL has to be set.

Re: [SOGo] Calendar issues after upgrade

2011-01-26 Thread Brian Lockwood
Thanks for that.

The field I had to add c_category (not c_categories)
I had to add it to the quick table which does the calendar as opposed to
contacts.

The script in question (sql-update-1.3.3_to_1.3.4.sh) refers to the Contacts
table. As I thought, I had already run it.
When I reran it, luckily, it just said that the fieldname was already there
for all my users' contact tables.

loads of lines like this

I updated from an earlier version than 1.33. Is there an older script that
does an update to the fields in the Calendar quick tables?

 Yes, since May 2010 .. ;)

I use SOGo for the school email system but wanted to expand use of the
calendar. Unfortunately it seems to have broken, probably since the 1.33
 upgrade.
I get errors in the sogo log (placed below this message).

When I upgraded, I ran a database upgrade script that came with the
 upgrade.
Mail and address books all seem fine for all users.
I added a field into my sogobrianloc00117296d89 table of the datatype
varchar(10) called c_category and this seemed to make the problem go away.

You didn't executed the update script (sql-update-1.3.3_to_1.3.4.sh). It
adds the c_categories field for all the quick addressbook tables.

[SOGo] Calendar issues after upgrade

2011-01-25 Thread Brian Lockwood
Apologies for a long post. Also, u...@sogo.nu seems to be the new place to
post sogo messages as my messages to s...@opengroupware.org do not appear.

I use SOGo for the school email system but wanted to expand use of the
calendar. Unfortunately it seems to have broken, probably since the 1.33
upgrade.
I get errors in the sogo log (placed below this message).

When I upgraded, I ran a database upgrade script that came with the upgrade.
Mail and address books all seem fine for all users.
I added a field into my sogobrianloc00117296d89 table of the datatype
varchar(10) called c_category and this seemed to make the problem go away.

New calendars do not show the error.
Consequently, I could export my calendars, delete the calendar and reimport.
However I do have a large number of users and before I go mucking about with
the database I wanted some advice or suggestions as to where I might have
gone wrong on doing the upgrade.

Error from log below this line.
