[SOGo] Google calendars

2012-12-08 Thread James James
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way in SOGo to add, in a read/write access, a
google calendar ? If it is impossible, is that will be a feature in the
next releases ?

Do you have selinux disabled? I remember having a similar problem and
 disabling selinux was the solution.

I found that Calendar and Contacts works fine (I manually changed the

Could it be that it only crashes with some specific versions of Dovecot?

 Wolfgang

No, I have the same version of Dovecot on both servers, 2.0.9. The
server in question also has another problem starting with SOGo v.2.0: the
proxy server die immediately after start. After the upgrade to 2.0 I had to
start sogo manually as user sogo, but, i think that behavior is not related
with this one. Is there a way to debug the proxy server?

Maybe the solution is to deal with a sogo 1.3.14 . :)

 Hi,

  Ok. I will try that.

I had a similar problem. But not SOGo-version related. I activated the
ChangePassword feature in SOGo and tested it. After this, I had the exact
same situation on my machine. Calendars were still working, but mail
disappeared. Checking the userPassword field in LDAP, I saw that the
password was written in clear text and not SSHA. So all my mail services
quit working with that password scheme. Are you using some kind of
encrypted passwords and did you use the SOGo option I talked about?

WIth tcpflow I can see that the login process is ok (login and password is
accepted) and all mails have been fetched.

So now try clearing your cache, change computers, change browsers. Try as
many different combinations of different computers and different browsers
and clearing your cache as you can until you get it to work! If it still
does not work then I am stumped.

 A) You have to stop sogod and start it up again.
 Restart is not sufficient.
 B) If your users have problems afterwards, they have to clear their

Thanks for this information.

I have checked may sogo config file and everything seems to be ok.

Some strange thing : when I downgrade Sogo to version 1.3.14 my mails come
back and everything works like usual.

Re: [SOGo] Web Performance issue

2012-03-29 Thread James James
In my case, it was a account issue. My account was the only one that was
slow. I had duplicate events on all my calendars and my query size (cf
sogo.log) was about 500k.

I juste remove my accout data with :

sogo-tool remove user

and now everything woks well.

Thanks for your attention guys.

Le 29 mars 2012 11:14, Khapare Joshi khapar...@gmail.com a écrit :

 hello all,

I dealt with sogo slow performance earlier - perhaps you can find in the
list. I deployed sogo at my work around feb last year and is doing well.
Although we have 17000+ users in our cyrus (imap server), only 6000 of
those users are now using sogo. This might change very soon when we will
enforce everyone to use sogo (goodbye to old sq mail).

With the performance issue with the sogo. I also use imapproxy in between
imap server and sogo server. This has certainly help to increase
performance at least for me. Also, seach in mailing list as Sogo Slow
performance - this will give you some idea how to optimize your sogo that
we discussed. So what I did is: increase the number of PREFORK to 70(in
/etc/sysconfig/sogo) and you need minimum 3 postgres connection per sogod
 which means:

if you increase prefork to 70 then your postgres connection should be 3*70

This has helped at least for me.

There are probably other technique to optimize sogod but at this time this
is good for me:) try doing this and see what happens.

Well, it depends on what you intend with properly. At first memcached
