 Thunderbird/Lightning or a configuration issue?

 This was discussed here erlier.
 Conclusion is:
This is a limitation or Bug in Thunderbird/Lightning.
You only have the Invitation accept/decline/tentative buttons as long as
the corresponding event is not in one of your calendars.
As SOGo writes these events into your personal calendar, and
Thunderbird/Lightning synchronizes that, Thunderbird does not display
 the invitation buttons.

Oh I see, this is very unfortunate. Is there a known workaround? All my
users use Thunderbird/Lightning so that's pretty much a show stopper :(

Sorry, I do not remember, if there was a bug open in the mozilla
 bugzilla or not.

I will check their bugzilla then.

Thanks for the feedback!

Re: [SOGo] Invitations already accepted

2014-08-04 Thread Mat
I think that I found out what the problem is.

My users are stored on LDAP and they have multiple email addresses, for
example:

dn: uid=joshua,ou=people,dc=example,dc=com
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: person
cn: Joshua Falken
givenName: Joshua
sn: Falken
mail: joshua.fal...@example.com
mail: j.fal...@example.com
mail: jos...@example.com

If this user receives an invitation and he is invited as
jos...@example.com then everything works as expected, because this is
the main email address and the one associated with his calendar in
thunderbird/lightning.

If this user receives an invitation as one of his email aliases, then
the web interface can deal with it but thunderbird/lightning exhibits
the behaviour that I described before.

Christian, you seem to be having the same issue, are you also using
multiple mail fields per user in your LDAP setup?

[SOGo] PROPFIND /SOGo/ and OPTIONS /SOGo/ in the logs

2014-06-18 Thread Mat
Hi list!

I'm a new user of SOGo, I'm running it on a debian wheezy VPS using
inverse's debian package. Sogo listens on localhost:2 and i have
an nginx instance setup as a reverse proxy, a pretty standard
configuration I presume.

My users, about 25, use a mixture of Thunderbird (with lightning and
sogo connector) and the web interface, and they are pretty happy so
far.

I have an issue though, in my sogo logfile I very often see this kind
of things:

127.0.0.1 - - [17/Jun/2014:10:36:13 GMT] OPTIONS /SOGo/ HTTP/1.0 200 3947/0

and it goes on and on, forever, to the point that the sogo process
reaches 90% of my cpu and I have to restart it. It happens so often
that I ended up with a crontab restarting the sogo server every 5
minutes.

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? Is there some kind of
misconfiguration on my side? I can provide configuration files.

Any help appreciated.
Cheers,

Ludovic answer this few days ago:

Here's my take on this.

Porting the SOGo Connector/Integrator is generally not long.

What's long is porting all the improvements we've done to Lightning.

When we did the changes back in Lightning 0.9, we submitted all of
them to Mozilla for inclusion. Not all of them were included (lack of
time from their side). Our patches then bitrotted.

When we ported them again to Thunderbird 3.1, we resubmitted patches
but again, not all of them were included and they bitrotted again.

We're now pretty much down to three patches to be included so we
don't have to modify Lightning again. Those are:

   1. refresh killer:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502936

   2. offline mode support:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380060
   3. hooks / stubs mechanisms:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=586276

The last one will allow us to move our ACL code directly in the SOGo
Connector/Integrator extensions. So we won't have to modify Lightning
anymore.

That being said, those 3 bugs should be fixed for Lightning 1.0. You
should all vote on the bugs so the patches finally get included.

Lightning 1.0 will most likely require Thunderbird 7. If that's the
case, that's the version we'll support after 3.1.

Regards,
