Can you download the individual package and install it manually?

IF you remember, I had to do that with the Inverse Samba package.

I downloaded, edited the package then installed it manually, but it did
the job.

I had the same problem on debian 7.
Sogo would not start, it was missing the expected cusomized libmemcached
version from inverse repo.
The way I solved it , if I remember correctly, was to manually download
the package, and force install using the package installer, in your
case: yum.

It was tricky, several expected ways to do it wouldn't work.
These packages should auto install from repo without that trouble.
If this is still happening from the standard scripted installations onto
a fresh operating system, It should be added the the bug tracker for
fixing...

I think SOGo rpm should run this update script automatically. Since we have
/etc/sogo/sogo.conf which contains the sql account credential, we can extract
the sql username / password / db names with shell script. If it doesn't have
required privileges, we ask system admin to type the credential.

 Strange, both were created here and they belong to the sogo package.

Don't know for /var/log, but /var/run on EL7 is a tmpfs, so if you need
a directory here, it mustn't be provided by the rpm. Instead, the rpm
should provide a /etc/tmpfiles.d/sogo.conf snippet which will contains
something like:

d /var/run/sogo 0755 sogo  sogo

This will ensure /var/run/sogo is re-created after each boot by the
systemd-tmpfiles-setup service

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v2.3.0

2015-06-02 Thread Götz Reinicke - IT Koordinator
Hi, what a big update ! Thanks for it.

If I do a rpm upgrade, do I have to run the sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0-
mysql.sh manually too?

Or is that done as a pre-exec script?

Thansk and regards . Götz

In that ticket you mentioned it works with PostgreSQL but not MySQL.
Make sure you have version 5.5.37 of the MariaDB libs installed. There's
a bug yet to be fixed with later versions.

that lib or a reasonable alternative?

Make sure you pull the libmemcached 1.0.18 packages from our repo.

What's missing when we see the following?

The following packages have been kept back:
  libldb-dev libldb1 libmapi0 libmapiproxy0 libmapistore0 libnss-winbind
  libpam-winbind libsmbclient libwbclient0 openchangeproxy openchangeserver
  python-ldb python-ocsmanager python-samba samba samba-common
  samba-common-bin samba-dev samba-dsdb-modules samba-libs
samba-vfs-modules

  smbclient sogo sogo-activesync sogo-openchange winbind
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 26 not upgraded.

And, I presume 'sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0.sh' is part of the SOGo packages?

Run the shell
scriptsql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0.shorsql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0-mysql.sh(if
you use MySQL).

This will grow the participant states field of calendar quick tables
to a larger size and add the the c_description column to calendar
quick tables.

Moreover, if you are using a multi-domain configuration, make sure the
keys for your domains match the email domains you have defined.

I don't clearly understand the red part...
Example, if I have...

domains = {
   *domain1*= {
SOGoMailDomain = *domain1.tld*;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
...
}
);
};
   *domain2*= {
SOGoMailDomain = *domain2.tld*;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
...
}
);
};
};

... then I need to rename keys from domainX to domainX.tld before upgrading?

Can I go ahead and install these packages without incident?

Then run the sql-update script after upgrade?
