Yes, you get a new entry in the main menu of that user(s) called
"Administration" (square with cog wheel in V3).
You can then search for users and check and change privileges for their
addressbooks and calendars.

With iRedMail, I suppose just listing the email addresses in SOGo parameter
“SOGoSuperUsernames = ();” should be enough, no extra LDIF file and importing
required.

What confuses me is, how does this super user work? For example, Is there any
new button/tab on web UI after promoted to be a super user? or this is for
command line tools (like ‘sogo-tool’)?

[SOGo] SOGo Administrative Account

2017-02-22 Thread Lucas

Hi,I have an iRedAdmin Server with SOGo on it, and I wanted to use the SOGo Administrative Account which is documented here:https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoInstallationGuide.html#_creating_the_sogo_administrative_accountSo I adjusted the values, because iRedMail uses another LDAP treedn: uid=sogo,ou=Users,domainName=mydomain.com,o=domains,dc=mydomain,dc=comobjectClass: topobjectClass: inetOrgPersonobjectClass: personobjectClass: organizationalPersonuid: sogocn: SOGo Administratormail: s...@mydomain.comsn: AdministratorgivenName: SOGoThen I added the account to the database:ldapadd -f sogo.ldif -x -w -D cn=Manager,dc=mydomain,dc=comAnd then I've set the password for the user sogoldappasswd -h localhost -x -w -D cn=Manager,dc=mydomain,dc=com uid=sogo,ou=Users,domainName=mydomain.com,o=domains,dc=mydomain,dc=com -s supersecretpasswordAnd that all worked fine, but for some Reason I cannot login into the SOGo webpanel with the credentials sogo - supersecretpasswordAnybody got it working?

Thanks Ludovic,

I'm pretty sure I copied that one from somewhere... Not the manual
obviously.

database.

SogoSuperUsernames = (dcouot);

Do I need apostrophes, barckets or any other symbols to be added ?

Make sure there was no typo with the setting name - all setting names
are case-sensitive.

for example you can set which users are able to see other user
calendars, if they can write to it, delete items and so on.
