i have had the same problem with BB and funambol -- large
contact/address book bombs the sync and scatters data. funambol and BB
are just not happening.
BB10 is supposed to have activesync built in (wow -- only now in 2013
has connectivity become a reality for RIM -- maybe the stock price had
something to do with their decision /end-rant).

so BB10 will have activesync and that can work with sogo (see sogo-sync
-- a sogo implementation of z-push). in the meantime, you could try
astraSync which is a licensed activesync plugin for BB and should work
now.

all will depend on BB10 -- with their current cash burn rate, RIM
recently had to sell some assets, and if BB10 fails, they will be out of
business.

cheers

hmm, first time sync works on BB Bold 9900, but now it stops syncing after 125
contacts.
I'm getting cold feet over the Funambol device client capability, the SOGO
project looks great, but I sinply can't get a client to act reliable yet. Is it
just my devices?

Also the Funambol forum states no BB10 support planned, which renders this
project of mine utterly useless, as 85% of my client base is guaranteed to
upgrade to BB10 within a month of its release. (not exagerating either :) )

RE: [SOGo] blackberry client for Sogo

2012-12-29 Thread Kenny B
Wow thanks!! I think thats the missing link, I'm getting stuck on the docs
though below. I can run the command but nothing happens.

Then, configure the data sources for SOGo. To do so, start the Funambol
Administration Tool
using the following command :

/opt/Funambol/admin/bin/funamboladmin

Go in Modules > sogo > FunambolSOGoConnector > SOGo SyncSource and add a source
for
each data type you would like to synchronize. For example, to synchronize an
address book,
you would specify:
Source URI: sogo-card
Name: sogo-card
Supported type: text/x-vcard
Database URL: jdbc:postgresql://localhost/sogo
Database username: sogo
Database password: sogo

Hi,

By default, Funambol doesn't save data in MySQL or PostGreSQL. I don't
remember the database name... You must configure Funambol to save data in
Mysql. It's a little chapter at the end in Funambol's doc ... ;-)

[SOGo] blackberry client for Sogo

2012-12-28 Thread Kenny B
I can't get the Blackberry client for Sogo to work, have downloaded the
OneMediaHub one from App World, installed nd synced. I get a sync successful
message, it says how many contacts etc synced successfully, but the data doesnt
show up in Sogo at all.

I've also tried the Funambol Communitty Edition 3.0.8 and the Nexthaus SyncJE
clients with no joy.

Also can't get my Playbook to connect either using CalDav . . .

I also can't get Outlook to connect to Sogo either.

Currently testing with the ZEG download in VirtualBox.
