I work with documentation.

I dint have Apache installed when installion sogo packages.. I havent spoted
mention about Apache requirement before at the doc ..

My scenarion:

Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
pre-istnallations - postfix, Cyrus, database server, LDAP

My sogo instalation steps (logged as su):
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key 0x810273C4
sudo apt-get update

inserted " deb http://inverse.ca/ubuntu precise precise" TO
/etc/apt/sources.list

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sogo

Am I supposed to be logged as su when installing ?

Should I try nightly builds .. not sure at all about difference ?

THANK YOU

The user should be added automatically when you install the packages.

You have to do the configuration by hand. Then the settings file will be
created. You already had a look at the documentation?

Your need Apache, an SMTP-server and an IMAP server.

That should be there - including the startup script.

[SOGo] how to start, newcomer

2013-04-06 Thread stanek
I have tried ZEG - VMDK, and ended up with just freezes .. esxi 5.1 .. HP ML310
.. I really dont know where is problem but I dont have any troubles to run many
instances of ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

I am impressed with sogo so I dont want to give up easily .. so I have tried to
install sogo on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

I have this questions / issues :

1, Am I supposed to create user "sogo" and do all installations and settings
under this user ?

2, After the installation there was no GNUstep/Defaults dir .. is it ok ?

3, Am I supposed to install Apache prior to sogo installation ?

4, Theres is no sogod service after sogo installation :... ?

Thank YOU.
