The -r123 and @123 functions have completely different behavior.
The @ syntax looks up the url as it was in in revision r123 and fetches the file from there The -r checks the path as it currently exists, back to the path it had in revision 123… following copies, renames, etc. (Note: you can combine these functions to trace a url backwards starting with a specific revision) So this is most likely the completely documented behavior.
