Cluster monitoring

2007-07-23 Thread Mark Faircloth
Hi,

We have been monitoring Tomcat 5.5 clusters with LambdaProbe but this
doesn't work with Tomcat 6. It appears that the JMX MBeans list no
longer contains any Catalina:type=Cluster objects that Probe uses,
despite the Tomcat documentation saying they are there.

Have they been removed, are they hidden or replaced by something else?

Any clues welcome.

Mark

Tomcat container cluster monitoring under Geronimo

2006-08-10 Thread Russell E Glaue
When implementing a tomcat cluster, we can monitor the cluster via JMX.

So, if we implement tomcat clustering under the Geronimo hood, what JMX
components are available as GBeans to allow us to monitor the tomcat
cluster running with Geronimo?

Have all the necessary JMX components been made available as GBeans in the
tomcat container for Geronimo, or do we still need to use JMX to monitor
clustering from the internal tomcat container?
