4157 should not be the problem.
I don't have IE around at the moment to test this.
Another question: what are your (Wicket team) plans for Wicket 1.5.x and 6.0?
Is 6.0 an experimental or do you plan in the future to focus on 6.0 as a base?
6.0 is the next version.
