Re: Wicket tester form submission problem

2009-04-21 Thread cbchhaya

Martijn,

That's exactly what I am doing (I think form.submit earlier was confusing -
apologies).

The button has setDefaultFormProcessing to true (but is used to
setResponsePage) - although this works fine functionally, could that be an
issue with the test?

I will debug the tree to see if validation components contain any errors -
there were none in the test logs though.

Thanks!

FormTester ft = tester.newFormTester("form");
ft.submit();

Did you also check for any validation errors?

I have a form that contains an indicating ajax button which when
clicked performs some calculations and calls setResponsePage. In the
test I have tried form.submit on the button and also executing
onSubmit ajax event but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Re: IndicatingAjaxSubmitButton and download after form submission problem

2007-08-21 Thread Matthijs Wensveen
Incidentally, when I woke up this morning, I was thinking about this
exact same problem :)

In the case of an Ajax button, the request is from an XmlHttpRequest
javascript (browser) object. I'm not sure if that even supports binary
results (mime types other than text/xml and text/plain), but if it does
you'd have to do something on the client side to show a download dialog
or something.

A direction to a possible solution would be to respond with some kind of
redirect to the URL of the binary (RequestCycle.urlFor(..)). Now your
only problem is how to send a redirect over the XmlHttpRequest. Your
best bet would be to send a little bit of javascript (window.location =
"[url]"), or maybe there is a component for this already.

Good luck!

you cannot stream back from ajax request directly, instead try doing
something like

window.location=somedownloadurl for ajax requests;
