[xwiki-users] How to call a macro from a local wiki

2009-10-10 Thread Michael Beetz
Hi all,

Local wikis doesn't allow macros; therefore they have to be placed in the main
wiki. However how do I call such macros?

I am still trying to get the xwiki task manager application up and running. It
might be necessary to move the query below to the main wiki, isn't it?

Thanks
mb

#set($sql = select max(prop.value)+1 from BaseObject as obj, IntegerProperty
as prop where obj.className='ITSClasses.IssueClass' and obj.id=prop.id.id and
prop.id.name='id')

$xwiki.search($sql)

see the discussion on

[xwiki-users] [docs] draft: XE main documentation page

2009-10-10 Thread Roman Friesen
Hello,

currently the xwiki documentation runs on several wiki instances and
spaces. Unfortunately it's not structured well too, so it's really very
hard to find required information. It's my experience.

I think something like a Table of Content could help indeed. Probably it
would be fix dirty solution, but nevertheless a solution.

Please look at the current draft for that page:
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Drafts/XEDocMain

Any feedback/help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Roman

Re: [xwiki-users] [docs] draft: XE main documentation page

2009-10-10 Thread Jerome Velociter
Hi Roman,

Nice initiative, we need to organize better and generally improve our docs.

Quick remark : the valid english is Common Usage, Advance Usage, not
Using.

I think the Common Usage (should we say Basic Usage ?) section would
benefit from a short introduction explaining that XWiki is a wiki, and
what a wiki is, before the list of links.
I would say the Understanding XWiki section could be located just
after Common Usage, as it is still information basic users
can/should read (as opposed to Advance Usage).

Programming of the Content sounds a bit weird, but the idea is there.
Why not Programming in the wiki ?

Hope this helps,
Jerome

[xwiki-users] How to check that SMTP mailing is working correctly?

2009-10-10 Thread kuchumovn

Hello.
I'm using XWiki Enterprise 2.0.
Today I'm trying to get the Watchlist notification work.
I've set these settings:

host: smtp.gmail.com
port: 465
user: vostr...@gmail.com
password: ***
javaMail props: mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true

Am I right?
Now I go to the Sandbox and watch the Training Zone page.
Then I go to my Watchlist management and set e-mail notification frequency
to 1 (i have no idea what does this mean, there are only these values:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, Scheduler.WatchListDailyNotifier,
Scheduler.WatchListHourlyNotifier, Scheduler.WatchListWeeklyNotifier).
Then I log in as another user and play with the Sandbox.

And then wait for the notification e-mail.
But nothing is being sent to me...
No errors on mail or smtp in the log either..

Am I doing something wrong?
Or should I try it some other way?

Hi,

Do you confirm the macro works for PDF externals to the site ?

No, doesn't work either. Also tried now on the main wiki - same thing.

Is there a size restriction? or do i need a google account? or do i miss
something else?

Thanks
hel.
