[xwiki-users] Bugfixing day tomorrow
Hi community, Time flies when you're having fun, so we missed last week's Thursday bugfixing day (which would have made it a monthly event). So, tomorrow there will be another bugfixing day, in preparation for a clean 3.0 release. As usual, everyone is welcome to participate in bugfixing, but not only: bug triage and bug reporting is also very much appreciated. -- Sergiu Dumitriu http://purl.org/net/sergiu/ ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[xwiki-users] Very annoyed with the deprecated parseMessage in my logs
Hi All, In november, some guys propose to deprecate $xwiki.parseMessage : http://markmail.org/message/7eorelxviymtyzc3 Surely, it was a good idea, I have every confidence in those guys. But now, the xwiki.log file of XWiki 2.7 is full of WARNs. Do you have any hint to make them disappear ? Thanks for your help. I was against the deprecation if the deprecation usages were not fixed for the final release but it slipped through. I agree we should fix this ASAP, possibly for 3.0 final (even if it's already late). Thanks -Vincent ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Note that HSQLDB is, by default, a memory database, meaning that it will hold all its data in memory at runtime, so depending on the size of the database, you need to increase the heap size accordingly. You could try to manually change the database file so that large tables are of type CACHED instead of MEMORY. This will reduce the memory requirement, but will also decrease performance. To do this, edit database\xwiki_db.script and change the lines at the start from: CREATE MEMORY TABLE ... to: CREATE CACHED TABLE ... You can start by changing only the XWIKIATTACHMENT_ARCHIVE and XWIKIATTACHMENT_CONTENT tables, which are the ones holding attachments, and which require the most memory. This will reduce the memory requirement the most, while having only little impact on performance. -- Sergiu Dumitriu http://purl.org/net/sergiu/ ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[xwiki-users] Upgrading Xwiki 2.4.3 to 2.7.1
Hi Xwiki Group, I am upgrading from 2.4.3 to 2.7.1. Right after I deploy the fresh new 2.7.1 war, with proper update schema flag set on xwiki.cfg, how should I procceed? Should I access the application first, without going directly to the import feature, in order to grant the schema update, or should I go directly to the import page (xwiki/bin/Import ...)? I've tried the first approach and it's taking so long for a very small database (about 13Mb). Is it normal? You can delete or comment out the parts you don't want (e.g. tag cloud) and you can embed other pages using {{include document=SpaceName.PageName/}}. To control the amount of spaces listed, alter the number in this line (100 is default): #set($limit = 100)## Maximum number of documents we display in the space dashboard list Hope that helps - Lockie -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Dashboard-customization-tp6176507p6179841.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
