Re: [xwiki-users] Help

2011-06-10 Thread 江舟
Hi Eduard,

Thank you for your reply.

About the max_allowed_packet mysql parameter, I had set it to 4M before I
got this problem, so it's not this caused the problem.

However, this morning when I tried again to import
xwiki-enterprise-wiki-3.0.xar, I don't why I succeeded.
Anyway, without this problem I can continue my project. So thank you for
your help again and I am sure there will be more problems about xwiki that I
can't solve, in that case, I hope we can discussed again.

Thank you so much for your time!

Respectively yours,
Shayne

From what you have shown me, I don`t understand the first screenshot. It
looks incomplete (left part is missing). Do you have javascript disabled?

Also, you have not answered my question whether you have tried to set the
 max_allowed_packet mysql parameter.

 Thanks,

 Hi Eduard,

 Thank you for your reply.

I can't see any error messages or exceptions in the console window.
To better identify the problem, I use two screenshots to show my problem.
The first one shows the picture before I click on the import button.
The second one shows the picture after I click on the import button.

I don't know what is wrong with XWiki, and I hope you can give me some
 advice.

Thank you so much for your time! I am looking forward to your reply.

You should upgrade directly to the most recent version, but be careful
to read the release notes for all major versions, paying attention to
 the upgrade notes.

Thank for your help. Upgrade has been successfully completed! =)

However, the one reason for the upgrade was the search which didn't work
with scandinavian letters (say, öä). With high hopes I tested this, and
got the same error..

What I do is simply enter word pöö to search-textfield and do the
search. Result is that the site title and the search page header are:
pöö.

The search result page has following meta-info:

 meta http-equiv=Content-Type content=text/html; charset=UTF-8 /
meta name=page content=Search/
meta name=version content=1.1/
meta name=gwt:property content=locale=fi /

[xwiki-users] RSS feeds

2011-06-10 Thread Gerritjan Koekkoek
Hi,

In our XWiki setup we are very much using RSS feeds generated by XWiki
When you capture such a feed in a news reader it shows :
Title
by Author
version version edited by editor in date time

Now is the Title informative for outsiders, the other (metadata) not...
The BLOG RSS feeds are much more informative

Where can I find information on how to setup the content presented in de RSS
feed, Pictures would also be very nice
Which XWikI page is holding the code used for feeds about page-changes, which
page is holding the code for the BLOG feeds?

So, was it the Tomcat URIEncoding setting?

I put that to the Connectors, and my quess is that it solved it because
at all times the URI seemed ok, but now it also parsed as ok.

I also upgraded the java5 to java6, but I'd say that the URIEncodind was
THE thing.

On 06/10/2011 02:22 PM, Ibrahim hammani wrote:
 Hi,

Yes, but it's not always possible. The WYSIWYG editor has a client side
and a server side. The server side implements some service interfaces
published by the client side. The server side uses the XWiki rendering
module and the XWiki core. As long as the interfaces shared between the
client and the server don't change you can use a newer client with an
older server. Upgrading the WYSIWYG editor server side is complicated
because it means upgrading the rendering and the core, which leads to
updating most of the jars from WEB-INF/lib.

I note that my xwiki version is 2.0 and I wish update the Wysiwyg to 2.6
 version.

That's not possible because the shared interfaces have changed between
2.0 and 2.6 and so the 2.6 client doesn't work with the 2.0 server.
Also, the rendering module as well as the entire platform has changed
very much between 2.0 and 2.6 so it's very difficult to upgrade the
WYSIWYG editor server side. In this case it's easier to upgrade the
entire wiki to 2.6.

Hope this helps,
Marius

Re: [xwiki-users] Problem with WYSIWYG-Editor

2011-06-10 Thread Felix van Wasen
Hi,

thank you for your fast answers. I did the upgrade the wysiwyg-Editor works,
but i dont the the macros and button to import pictures etc.

After upgrading I see the following message:

Liste von fehlerhaften Dokumenten (list of incorrect documents)
XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig
(http://kinderchirurgie.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/WysiwygEditorConfig)
XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigTemplat
(http://kinderchirurgie.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/WysiwygEditorConfigTemplate)e

I did the following steps to solve the problem:

If importing XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig or XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigTemplate
fails then you have to follow this steps in order to update the WYSIWYG editor
configuration:

Open XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig and XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigTemplate in the
object editor, and remove the XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigClass objects from them
Open XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigClass page in the class editor, delete the
menuBar property, and add it again as a String property
Open XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig and XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigTemplate in the
object editor, add and then remove again an object of type
XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigClass
Import the XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigClass, XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig
andXWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigTemplate pages from the upgrade XAR

If you didn't try and failed to import these documents already, it's simpler to
just deleteXWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig and XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigTemplate
first, then continue with a normal import.

But. It does not work

Could the admin of myxwiki correct ist in kinderchirurgie.myxwiki.org

or

Do You have further ideas

Thank You Guys,

Felix

Is it a fresh install or did you upgrade recently?
The install ist nearly fresh. I did not upgrade recently

Was the WYSIWYG editor working before?
  Yes

  What browser are you

I'm using a mac. The browsers are safari, chrome, firefox. Every browser
