If you also change the "Display Type" to "select" and put this code in
a page with tags:

{{velocity}}
$doc.display('tags')
{{/velocity}}

and then edit this page in "Inline form" edit mode (?editor=inline)
you'll see the list of tags you have set in XWiki.TagClass

But the tag UI, i.e. what you get when clicking on Tags(+), doesn't
take into account neither the "Display Type" nor the "Values" meta
properties of "tags". So you either modify the tag UI or write a
custom one, or you can write an event listener (
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Observation+Module+Local
) that is notified when a document is saved and filters the tags.

Hope this helps,
Marius

Just added it on OW2 thanks, looks like there is an issue in our
release script. I think you need to wait a bit for it to be really
available (not sure how long).

[xwiki-users] Problem getting structured tags working wiht Xwiki 3.5

2012-05-02 Thread Bergquist, Brett
I have edited the XWiki Tag Class

http:///xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/TagClass

and set the Tags property. The name is "tags and I have edited the Values to
be the list of tags I want. However on a page, I do not see the list of tags
when I click on the Tags(+). Is this only effective for a newly created page
or should the tags appear on the existing pages?

Register on xwiki.org if you haven't done it yet, then edit
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Tabs+Macro in
Inline mode and look at the end for the "Add/Edit Downloads" section.
Follow those instructions. The new versions should be 1.0.2, I
suppose, if you say the changes were minor.

Thanks for your fix.

This is not good. It looks for a "title" property on the current
object or the first object (of $doc) that has it. If you want to show
a text input for the document title see
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/blob/master/xwiki-platform-core/xwiki-platform-web/src/main/webapp/templates/editmeta.vm
. You can either include this template or take from it the code that
you need.

Hope this helps,

BlogPostClass has two TextArea properties. BlogPostSheet displays
these properties by calling $doc.display. This method adds the
property ID to a list if the property is editable with the WYSIWYG
editor. This list can be retrieved with $xcontext.getEditorWysiwyg() .
textarea_wysiwyg.vm Velocity template, included (indirectly) from
edit.vm, takes this list and creates the necessary WYSIWYG editors by
calling macros (e.g. #wysiwyg_editProperties) from macros.vm .
#wysiwyg_import is one of these macros.

Why do you need your own XWikiWysiwyg.js file?

"forceSkinAction": true is for parsing XWikiWysiwyg.js for Velocity
code. Do you have Velocity code in your file?

"lazy": ${lazy} is read from the request URL using Velocity code
inside XWikiWysiwyg.js . Do you need it?

macros.vm is cached after each server restart to improve performance.
Each modification requires a server restart.

Hope this helps,
Marius

This is the user documentation. It describes the WYSIWYG editor
features for simple users.

http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/ links to
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Configuration
which has a section "Configure the WYSIWYG editor" which points to
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/WysiwygEditor

You should use the administration section dedicated for the WYSIWYG editor.

Hope this helps,
Marius
