Re: [xwiki-users] Can the User, Developer and Administration guides be downloaded and installed on a local XWiki installation?

2013-03-19 Thread Dmitry Bakbardin
 Hi, Stuart,

Documentation is "live" and updated quite often. I can hardly understand how to
update it locally. Better to use it at XWiki site.

Well, I'm almost sure I did, but I don't remember precisely...
Would you recommend to reinstall page XWiki.Admin from 4.5.2, or to put
back the one from 3.5 ?

[xwiki-users] Can the User, Developer and Administration guides be downloaded and installed on a local XWiki installation?

2013-03-19 Thread mrswadge
Hi,

I would like to keep the User, Administration and Developer documentation
for the current version of XWiki on my local XWiki site. Can I download
these in some kind of package and install them to my local XWiki site?

I also asked this in the FAQ on the XWiki site

. I will take care of answering the question here when it is answered.

Thanks,
Stuart

 You should try to convert your database to InnoDB and try a migration

Re: [xwiki-users] How to delete document without put it in trash bin

2013-03-19 Thread Guillaume "Louis-Marie" Delhumeau
Hi Arnaud.

You can do it only if you have the Programming Rights.

With velocity:
#set($document = $xwiki.getDocument("Document Name"))
## Get the internal document
#set($xwikidocument = $document.getDocument())
## Remove it
#set($discard = $xwiki.getXWiki().deleteDocument($xwikidocument, false,
$xcontext.context))

The second parameter of deleteDocument is "to trash", that I set to false.

Doc:
http://nexus.xwiki.org/nexus/service/local/repositories/releases/archive/org/xwiki/platform/xwiki-platform-oldcore/4.5.2/xwiki-platform-oldcore-4.5.2-javadoc.jar/!/com/xpn/xwiki/XWiki.html#deleteDocument%28com.xpn.xwiki.doc.XWikiDocument,%20boolean,%20com.xpn.xwiki.XWikiContext%29

I hope it helps,

Louis-Marie

Could someone with rights to read the analytics data about this page see what
are the top referring pages? And what were the ones that did end up on a
project page and those that ended up go away fast?

thanks in advance

Re: [xwiki-users] [GSOC] XWiki is applying for GSoC 2013. Proposals and mentors needed!

2013-03-19 Thread Paul Libbrecht
Hello all,

I am looking forward to this year's GSoC.

Especially of interest to the XWiki derivatives based on xclams, but certainly
also applicable to other xwikis, I have added two project proposals:

- XCLAMS ePub Publisher:
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/GoogleSummerOfCode/XCLAMSePubExport
- XCLAMS Federated Servers:
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/GoogleSummerOfCode/XCLAMSFederated

Comments are most welcome.

I've noted that ActivityStream 2.0 is one of the proposed project. Could that
be based on big NoSQL databases such as CouchDB?

Re: [xwiki-users] Migrating 3.5 to 4.5.2

2013-03-19 Thread Jeremie BOUSQUET
Mmm seems I could solve it.

I had the following error at startup since a long time:

2013-03-19 11:09:40,248 [main] ERROR ltInstalledExtensionRepository -
Invalid extension [gdelhumeau:livetableexcelexport-macro-1.0] it will not
be loaded
org.xwiki.extension.InvalidExtensionException: The dependency
[org.xwiki.contrib:xwiki-plugin-excel-] of extension
[gdelhumeau:livetableexcelexport-macro-1.0] is invalid

So I chose "Skip" from DW, shutdown the wiki, remove that extension from my
permanent directory, restarted wiki...
And now DW seems to be able to continue install, and propose conflicts on
admin app.

Now it works but I can't login anymore as "Admin", other users login work
but not that one for any reason ... Hope it will be fixed after DW upgrades.

BR,
Jeremie

Hello,

So I workaround-ed the problem by truncating stats table and relaunching ...
Retesting migration, seems to indicate that there are other cases of

So migration finished, I restarted my wiki, the distribution wizard

Any ideas to overcome that problem ?
My wiki being quite big, I'd prefer let the distribution wizard manage

 Hello,

 I'm prototyping a connector to a ticket tracking tool: I'm writing a
 Groovy page which import CSV calls into XWiki.
 I map each CSV rows to one XWiki object store in one page (one object per
 page).
 OK, I succeed to to it.

 My issue is that imported CSV contains rows (tickets) which don't
 change since last import and I don't want to update page in this case.
 Thanks to getDiff() method on BaseObject, XWiki help me to find is
 ticket change or not.
 I write the following Groovy code:

 def http = new HTTPBuilder( 'https://stim.gemalto.com' )
 http.parser.'text/csv' = { resp ->
   return new CSVReader( new InputStreamReader( resp.entity.content,
 ParserRegistry.getCharset( resp ) ) )
 }
 http.request( Method.GET, 'text/csv' ) {
   uri.path = myPath
   uri.query = myQuery

   // response handler for a success response code:
   response.success = { resp, csv ->
 if ("${resp.headers.'Content-Type'}".startsWith('text/csv')) {
   def names = []
   def idIndex = 0
   def cpt=0
   // Find id column call "IncidentNumber" in my case
   csv.readNext().each { field ->
   if (field.equals('IncidentNumber')) {
  idIndex = cpt;
   }
   names.add(field)
   cpt++;
   }
   println "|=Incident Number|=action"
   csv.readAll().each { line ->
 def id = line[idIndex]
 def exists = xwiki.exists('myTicket.'+id)
 def ticketDoc = xwiki.getDocument('myTicket.'+id)
 def ticket = ticketDoc.newObject('myTicket.myTicketClass')
 for(i=0 ; i>>>   ticket.set(names[i], line[i]);
 }
 print "|[[myTicket."+id+"]]|"
 if (!exists) {
   println "Added"
   ticketDoc.save()
 } else {
   def tickets=ticketDoc.getObjects('myTicket.myTicketClass')
   def oldTicket = tickets.size() != 0 ? tickets[0] :
 ticketDoc.newObject('myTicket.myTicketClass')
   def
 diffs=ticket.getBaseObject().getDiff(oldTicket.getBaseObject(),
 xwiki.context)
   if (diffs.size() != 0) {
 println "none"
   } else {
 println "Updated"
 ticketDoc.save()
   }
 }
   }
 }
   }

   // handler for any failure status code:
   response.failure = { resp ->
 println "Unexpected error: ${resp.status} :
 ${resp.statusLine.reasonPhrase}"
   }
 }

 The issue in my code, is that I create and add a new ticket object on
 each update where I want to have only one.
 I could removed old ticket before save but in this case history diff
 may not compare two tickets as there have to different GUID.
 I could copy new ticket fields to old ticket
 Or may be there is simplest way to do it implemented else where in XWiki?

 What do you think?

 Regards,

 Arnaud.

 Fixed in 2.5RC1 by
 https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/commit/c08cca8cae375ea306b071fedbae3b1809261126
 . See http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-5575 .

 The viewattachrev action is needed for attachments of the context
 document because attachments are also versioned and when you view a
 revision of a document you want to view the version of the attached
 images from that revision.

Use this to checkout the code. Note that will will take a while,
depending on your bandwidth.

$ git clone git://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform.git
$ cd xwiki-platform
>>xwiki-platform$ git checkout xwiki-core-2.4
>>xwiki-platform$ git cherry-pick c08cca8cae375ea306b071fedbae3b1809261126

Note that I tried to patch xwiki-core 2.4 myself, but I have Java 1.7,
and besides the version, it seems the build requires Sun/Oracle JDK
(there's a backward compatibility aspect that uses com.sun.* classes).
The build should pass on Sun/Oracle JDK 1.5 though.

See above. It's a matter of 1 command line.

You don't need this one for now.

Hope this helps,
Marius
