While I appreciate the streamlined implementation - just
one concept for content separation - would it be possible
to get the "space" look and feel back?

I.e. remove the topmost hierarchy level from the left
navigation tree and put those items at the top?
And switch the left navigation depending on the top
item selected?

Simple? Hardcore customization, i.e. paid support? Impossible?

Thanks
Patrick

Your help - yes, of course. The demise of spaces - no, sorry.
Spaces were a key feature why I picked Xwiki. We need
different $SOMETHINGS for different working groups that
should not be visible at all to users who are not members of
that partciular group, yet easily navigatable for users with
the necessary privileges. Very much like Confluence spaces.

I'll read the docs and decide if we keep exploring XWiki and
which feature (subwiki or nested pages) to use ...

Thanks again
Patrick

You get what you want with XWiki :)

You can have pages under other pages and you can set permissions on pages that
affect all children too.

Thanks

Hello Patrick.

I think you should read
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Features/ContentOrganization/ that
will explain you everything.

Short story: we don't have space anymore but only pages that can have
children.

Hope you will appreciate.

[xwiki-users] Problem with update from 7.1.2 to 8.4.1

2016-12-01 Thread aleksey-s
Hi,

We update our xwiki from 7.1.2 to 8.4.1 and have some problems - in page
/xwiki/bin/admin/XWiki/XWikiPreferences we have no admin interface
(screenshot below)

I try login with superadmin - such problem. How to return it ?
