 That’s weird, I’ve just downloaded a clean XWiki 8.4.4 jetty/hsqldb zip
and check the home page and I got:

 http://localhost:8080/xwiki/webjars/wiki%3Axwiki/xwiki-
 platform-tree-webjar/8.4.4/require-config.min.js?evaluate=true

My guess is that you made a mistake during the upgrade. Could it be that
you copied the 8.4.4 WAR content over an existing xwiki 8.4.3 install? In
which case that would explain that you have both versions in your
 WEB-INF/lib directory?

You should not do this :) Please check http://platform.xwiki.org/
 xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Upgrade

" Just make sure you don't install the new version over the old one (both
 installations need to exist)."

 Thanks

this is just an 8.4.4 bug; something hard-coded somewhere? But I have no
idea how any of this works, so it could be an install issue.

Export/Import is really not a good way to upgrade XWiki, only to be
used in last resort. It's much safer to just change the files coming
from the WAR and let XWiki migrate what needs to be migrated.

Re: [xwiki-users] How to enable rights to run velocity macros on Xwiki pages

2017-01-13 Thread Thomas Mortagne
As it's indicated in the error you need to make sure the author of the
script have SCRIPT right (looks at rights UI).

See
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/ReleaseNotes/ReleaseNotesXWiki72#HScriptright
for more details.

[xwiki-users] How to enable rights to run velocity macros on Xwiki pages

2017-01-13 Thread Kumar, Piyush
Hi All,

I exported older xwiki contents and imported them back into newer xwiki 8.2.1.
I can see that few pages are breaking asking below issue:

org.xwiki.rendering.macro.MacroExecutionException: The execution of the
[velocity] script macro is not allowed. Check the rights of its last author or
the parameters if it's rendered from another script.
at
org.xwiki.rendering.macro.script.AbstractScriptMacro.execute(AbstractScriptMacro.java:178)
at
org.xwiki.rendering.macro.script.AbstractScriptMacro.execute(AbstractScriptMacro.java:58)

Can anyone tell me that how to enable rights for macro?

Thanks & Regards,
Piyush

Hi All,

I am exporting old xwiki workspace to new version 8.2.1 xwiki instance. While
import I need to select form available pages in .XAR file. I went through the
xwiki documents which says that we should only import the content written by
user.

Can anyone help me to know the way I can differentiate the contents? If I
import any content created by main xwiki instance then this information may
override on newer version same content.

Thanks & Regards
