[xwiki-users] Bulletin Board Application Unable to create Topics/Categorys
I have recently installed the Bulletin Board Application and am having some troubles. After creating our own bulletin board, when trying to create a new category or topic it sends me to a JIRA failed startup page, also when trying to use the example one that comes with it, it tells me that this document does not exist. I am fairly new to using Xwiki and this could be something simple that I am not seeing. Can annyone help me out? -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Bulletin-Board-Application-Unable-to-create-Topics-Categorys-tp5603673p5603673.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] Bulletin Board Application Unable to create Topics/Categorys
So what is happening, I can create a new topic or category but only if i click edit then preview, from there it shows me the Topics page i have created, I click on create a new topic add a name and click view once again, it shows me the new topic i have created if. If i click save and view, then save and view again, to save the topic i created and the topics code page, it will then create my topic. If i am not within the edit mode it will not create the topic -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Bulletin-Board-Application-Unable-to-create-Topics-Categorys-tp5603673p5603997.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Weird it worked for me, just a couple of days ago. Have you saved the pages with programming rights ? Also there seems to be a small missscripting as only administrators could create a category on my xwiki (changed that ...) Also what XWiki Version are you using. I used the 2.4 release. Re: [xwiki-users] Bulletin Board Application Unable to create Topics/Categorys
I believe we are using 2.3 or 2.4, its not the latest version of Xwiki, where do I find the version exactly? also, All I remember reading about the pages with programming rights is they have to be saved by an Adminstrator if im not mistaken. What exactly do you mean by saved the pages with programming rights. I tried doing the same thing with the example bulletin board that came with the pluggin as well. And it just sends me to a This page does not exist whereas the Bulletin Board I created Specifically for our group seems like its trying to direct me away from Xwiki all together. -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Bulletin-Board-Application-Unable-to-create-Topics-Categorys-tp5603673p5604361.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

That's due to a mistake of mine, I'll fix it ASAP let you know. Guillaume On 27/03/2008, XWikiTester [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I installed the BB application using the Admin account. However, if I then log using a user account with normal privileges (not admin), when I click on the BB using the panel, I get to the screen where i'm supposed to see the categories and get this message: There is currently $bbcategories.size() categorie(s) in this bulletin board. Basically, the BB application works fine with all admin accounts but doesn't work with normal accounts. In the XWiki debug window on the server, I get errors about $request.confirmdelete and $request.deletebb being null. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Bulletin-Board-Application-problem-tp16276550p16276550.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users -- http://wikibc.blogspot.com/ ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

I followed the instruction and added BBCode.Translations to Administration | Preferences | Advanced | Internationalization Document Bundles.
