business requirements and develops business and/or functional
specifications.

The role of Junior Business Analyst is to identify, analyse and document
the business requirements for small projects or workstreams within a larger
project and support delivery of the solution.

The Junior Business Analyst supports process flow specialists within the
business community and technical teams within IT&S to document
functional/non-functional requirements for a specific project or work
stream. They assist in the development of process design/redesign and
create base information for scope and requirements documentation within the
CVP process. The Junior Business Analyst has experience in delivering
requirements within a blue chip organization and an informed understanding
of the Oil and Gas industry.

*Technical/Functional Skills   -MUST HAVE SKILLS*

The Junior Business Analyst will ideally possess the following key skills:

·Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry

·Confident in working with senior business users and challenging
opinions where necessary

Essential skills:

·Some knowledge of required functional domain and/or appropriate
toolsets

·Rapidly absorbs new technical information and applies it
effectively

·Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Requirements,
Test Analysis and reporting

*Roles & Responsibilities*

Other than the basic scope of work of a typical Business Analyst, the
resource will perform the following tasks:

·Work with business stakeholders to understand objectives and
business case and define the scope and business priorities, for small-scale
changes or assisting in larger scale projects.Finalise scope, requirements,
design and establish a base-line on which delivery of a solution can
commence

·Work with stakeholders to prioritise requirements and ensure that
the design meets the business requirements, define user interface and
support the acceptance of analysis/design by both stakeholders and IT
subject matter experts

·Investigate business needs, problems, and opportunities
(consulting operational management and other stakeholders as appropriate),
contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and
non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation

·Assist in defining what the business will test during UAT, how
they will test it and support business decision process on UAT
non-compliance. Provide input to test analysts on (in particular
functional) requirements to be covered in test cases
