This is directly from the hiring manager The area where candidates are falling short is their lack of experience with client-side and server-side technologies. Many candidates we speak to list experience with jQuery (client-side JavaScript framework), Spring (server-side Java framework), etc. on their resumes but cannot answer basic questions in those areas. I did not bold 'Experience with Backbone.js, Underscore.js is an added advantage' because Backbone.js is not the most adopted framework in this space and I don't want limit the candidate pool but experience with Backbone.js or any other similar framework (e.g/ AngularJS) for building single-page applications is a huge advantage.
