[USRP-users] USRP not detected by Laptop

Hello everyone,

   I have a NI USRP 2954 and when i am trying to
connect it with my Laptop, with a working Ethernet cable,in the "network
connections" window i notice that the Ethernet connection status stands at:
"Network cable unplugged".



Can someone help me sort this issue?



In case further information is required, my Laptop is an ASUS product(64
bit) and the OS is windows 10.

[USRP-users] USRP IP Address

Hello everyone,
Is there a method available to establish the IP
address of the USRP you are using? If so can someone tell me the procedure.
I am using an NI device by the way, not an Ettus device.

Also since apparently i am advised to match the IP address of my USRP(For
the laptop to be able to detect the USRP device) with the Host address (MY
Laptop IP address, i reckon), can someone tell me the procedure as to how
to achieve this?

[USRP-users] uhd object file not found

Hello,
   I am trying to mex compile(On MATLAB 2013b on a windows 10, 64
bit system) a file called  "rx_samples_to_file.cpp"
   which is obtained from

https://github.com/EttusResearch/uhd/blob/UHD-.10/host/examples/rx_samples_to_file.cpp

 "

This is to test USRP NI 2954R. (If compilation were to be successful, on
connecting the device to laptop, i should be able to receive samples from
USRP)


I receive the error:
"LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'C:\Users\VINAYAK
KARANDIKAR\Documents\MATLAB\MATLAB\Thesis\MATLAB_USRP_INTERFACE\UHD_sample_programs_from_GitHub\uhd.obj'

  C:\PROGRA~1\MATLAB\R2013B\BIN\MEX.PL: Error: Link of
'rx_samples_to_file.mexw64' failed.

Unable to complete successfully."

[USRP-users] Device still not found

Hello everyone,
 MATLAB still cannot find my USRP connected to
the laptop. I have built an interface called 'uhdinterface' which I use to
issue commands to the USRP. But I received an error message saying:
"Unexpected standard exception from MEX file"

What do I do?

Hello everyone,
  I have connected USRP NI 2954 R to my laptop
with a yellow LAN cable that came with the kit.

In matlab, I type the following command at the prompt:

dev = uhdinterface('init')

the following then takes place:

Unexpected Standard exception from MEX file.
What() is:LookupError: KeyError: No devices found for ->
Empty Device Address

What do i do?

[USRP-users] Invalid or Corrupt file

Hello,
   I am trying to mex the file multi_usrp.hpp located on my
computer in the folder:
   C:\Program Files\UHD\include\uhd\usrp\multi_usrp.hpp

However i get the error:

   multi_usrp.hpp : fatal error LNK1107: invalid or corrupt file:
cannot read at 0x105AE

   C:\PROGRA~1\MATLAB\R2013B\BIN\MEX.PL : Error:
Link of 'multi_usrp.mexw64'
   failed.

   Unable to complete successfully.

So, what do i do? I have a windows 10 system with SDK 7.1  c++
compiler installed.

[USRP-users] UHD3

Hello Everyone,
 I was wondering if my message has not been
delivered yet?
 This is regarding the UHD installation.
 Now following help earlier, i have been able
to successfully install the UHD on a
Windows 10 system.

 However the page "
http://files.ettus.com/manual/page_install.html; tells me
   that there are post installation activities. So are they
applicable to me as well,  in my
case(Windows 10, UHD already downloaded and installed)? In
   that case, i have further questions: I see files with the
inf extension which   may have something to
do with various USRP devices except NI 2954R,
   which is my device of interest. So what do i do in this case? Which
inf file do   i choose?

Finally, is that all? Do i finish with all
necessities to start using my USRP NI
2954R device finally?

"http://files.ettus.com/manual/page_install.html;, i have downloaded
the
installer from "  http://files.ettus.com/binaries/uhd/latest_release;.

Now, when i unzip the package, i arrive at a folder named
"uhd_3.12.0-release". This folder has many many many sub folders and each
sub folders has many many many files within.

So i am unable to follow what do i do? How do i install the UHD from here.

I think i need step by step instructions.

*By the way i am interested in doing this on a "WINDOWS 10" platform only. *

*Therefore earlier responses to the same above message, which are
applicable to only UBUNTU-Linux systems cannot apply i reckon
