[v8-users] Re: Can't generate libv8.so file

2019-03-28 Thread mihaeladumitrache73 via v8-users
I changed the soname of generated libv8.cr.so to be libv8.so, but when
linking it in my app, I am asked for both libv8_libbase.cr.so and
libv8_libbase.so.

Is there any way to generate only one .so file, instead of 5 that I have
now:  libv8, libv8_libbase, libv8_libplatform etc...

[v8-users] Re: How to specify script execution scope?

2019-03-28 Thread muhammad sami
Hi, Vance :

Thanks for your appreciated response, I didn't try
v8::Compiler::CompileFunctionInContext yet. I'm trying to achieve scoping
now using spidermonkey I hope it works out.

 I'll explain more closely to the code. Let's assume my scope hierarchy
 is initialized the way I presented in my post. I have this script:

   var x = 10;

 and I want to execute it in the document scope. So the sequence should
 be like this:

   [set the current scope to session.application.document]
   v8::Script::Run(); // run the script
   [restore scope to the root object]

 so that then I have "typeof(session.application.document.x) ==
 number", and "typeof(x) == undefined".
