Servers authorized to relay skip qmail-scanner virus checks. - simpler and easier to setup. Personally, I feel better knowing that each user authenticates before they send mail with SMTP AUTH rather then keeping an ad-hoc list of IPs that have POP-ed their mail in the last x-minutes. But that would be covered in Jeff's conceptually a more elegant approach bullet.
