 Sure you didn't

Well Mr SMart Ass I didn't. Because I use smtp auth I run qmail as
vpopmail
and the permissions should be vpopmail.qmailq and they were not be cuase I
had
a queue problem a few days ago and I ran the utility to repair the queue and
it changed the permissions.

I never said the "Sure you didn't" thing.

Second, i have only seen those errors with a queue that was deleted, i
am sorry if that was not what had happened.

Someone else submitted the right answer you were looking for.

That's actually a qmail error, not vpopmail.

It's caused by incorrect permissions in the
queue.

Fix:
chown -R qmailq:qmail /var/qmail/queue/todo/

But more importabtly, find out what changed the permissions,
and why to fix the problem for good - as it may just happen again.

Yeah, someone deleted part of the qmail queue, real smart i have to say.
 (NOT)

Anyways, since you have allready screwed over your queue, find
queue-repair, its a special utility to repair queue's, and use it to
repair your queue. And then restart qmail, those error messages should
 be gone.

It is not smart to delete from the qmail queue.
