funny - I just cleared the personal copies of the
mailinglist-messages, and the mailing-list copy did not contain
the attachment. Does someone know about if this mailing list
strips all attachments (also noticed it with my messages that are
now a broken multipart/signed).
It's true, the mailing list is set up to remove attachments that are
not
multipart
application/pgp-signature
text
or have any of the following extensions:
exe bat cmd com pif scr vbs cpl
I'd be glad to extend this as needed. What was the attachment that
got dropped?
The SMIME-signature is within a application/x-pkcs7-signature file (which
is a part of a multipart/signed). the following is an excerpt from the mail
you replied to before it got into mailman.
| Content-Type:‧multipart/signed;‧protocol=application/x-pkcs7-signature;
| micalg=sha1;‧boundary=7JfCtLOvnd9MIVvH
| Content-Disposition:‧inline

| --7JfCtLOvnd9MIVvH
| Content-Type:‧text/plain;‧charset=iso-8859-1

For an encrypted SMIME message it looks like these headers:
| Content-Type:‧application/pkcs7-mime;‧name=smime.p7m
| Content-Transfer-Encoding:‧base64
| Content-Disposition:‧attachment;‧filename=smime.p7m
| Content-Description:‧S/MIME‧Encrypted‧Message
The attachment from Richard was a git-formatted patch, but unluckily
created as following:
[-- Anhang #2: 0001-Update-configuration-for-current-versions-of-mr-vcsh.patch
--]
[-- Typ: application/octet-stream, Kodierung: base64, Größe: 15K --]
Richard, did you use Google's GMail interface to reply? Didn't find a
X-Mailer header.
thanks and regards,
Andre
