Re: [vdr] Configuration for FullFeatured with defect tuner needed

2008-09-02 Thread M.Fiegert

  Question:
If I now by a second budget card (slot available), is there any way that
vdr would use those two budgets but not the tuner of the FF-card?

 [..]
 I have the same configuration.
You can use the SourceCaps-patch to disable the broken card's tuner.
An example. Lets assume that your first card is broken and that your second
and third card can receive astra and hotbird. Then you would need to add
the following lines to your channels.conf (after applying the SourceCaps
 patch): SourceCaps = 1 S1.0W
 SourceCaps = 2 S19.2E S13.0E
 SourceCaps = 3 S19.2E S13.0E

You can exchange S1.0W for any other source which you can not receive.

 Hope this helps,
 Christian

Thanks a lot! I will try as soon as possible.

 Hi,

I'm using newer version of a patch which can be found at
 http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/vdr/2008-March/016164.html. I have version
for vdr-1.6.0 but now I'm not sure if I downloaded it from somewhere or made
it myself, I couln't find vdr-1.6.0-gotox.diff anywhere. When applied this
patch to vdr-1.7.0 there are some rejects but there is no problem to fix it
 by hand.

I'll try to make newer version (for 1.7.0) and send it to Seppo to review it,
as this is basically not work of mine.

I succesfully run the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2. It uses the same
driverset as the HVR-4000 and it is also known as the HVR-4000 Lite.
Unlike the HVR-4000, it only has DVB-S and DVB-S2 reception and it lacks
the Analog and DVB-T input (which I don't need anyway since I allready had
a working USB DVB-T adapter in Linux/VDR).

I run this on a VDR 1.7.0 with h264 patch in combination with the Reel eHD
plugins/patches.

 Pierre

[vdr] sound problem with recordings

2008-09-02 Thread serge pecher
Hello,

I have a strange problem with a specific recording I did record some time
ago (end
2007).

It seems that, after some time (5 to 10 min) I loose the sync between the
video and the sound. After an other +/-1 minute the sound becomes choppy.

I had a look on the cpu usage : +/- 25% or lower

The recording is on a IDE HDD in the same machine.

When I try a recording made a few days before or later, no problem at all.
cpu usage is the same as above.

I am running vdr 1.5.13 on a Xeon, 2.4 Ghz, kubuntu 8.04, with a FF card.

It is possible that the recording was made with an other version of vdr,
because I am changing from time to time.

Live TV and every other recording I did try are working well.

Any idea ?

Thanks,

Serge
