[vdr] ehd vs normal dvi output

2009-02-04 Thread alex bustamante
Hi,

How is the picture quality with the eHD compared to using just x11 and
and DVI connected to a flatpanel? Is there a big difference?

[vdr] teletext-subtitles and dvb-subtitles

2008-12-04 Thread alex bustamante
Hello list,

Would it be possible to patch the incoming dvb-stream with
teletextsubtitles on the fly, so that VDR can decode it as DVB-subtitles?

[vdr] vdr versionnumbers and plugins

2007-07-10 Thread alex bustamante
Hi,

When i compile my plugins under vdr 1.4.7 most of them get the
versionnumber 1.4.5. For example: libvdr-ttxtsubs.so.1.4.5. The result
of this is that i get the following errormessage when i try to launch:
vdr: ./PLUGINS/lib/libvdr-ttxtsubs.so.1.4.5: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory

My solution to this problem is 'ln -s ibvdr-ttxtsubs.so.1.4.7
ibvdr-ttxtsubs.so.1.4.5'.

However, that seems more like a workaround. Is there a clean solution to
this? Thanks!
-Alex

[vdr] Full featured card + budget card

2007-03-21 Thread alex bustamante

Hi list,

Let's say that i have one FF-card (dvb-c) and one budget card (dvb-t) in
my vdr-setup. I have connected the FF-card to my TV via RGB-scart. Now,
if i watch a dvb-t channel, will the mpeg stream still be decoded by the
FF-card and will the picture be sent out to the tv via the FF-card?
