lives of cancer patients across the country. The DevOps Engineer will be
responsible to keep Azure happy and humming along, establishing and
overseeing Azure environment best practices, manage Dev and QA VMs and
other test resources and monitoring resources. The resource will also
heavily contribute to Continuous Integration design, implementation and
maintenance (build automation, deploy automation, test automation, metrics
and dash-boarding). Additionally they will be mister fix-it, aiding in Tier
3 escalation to support systems and network related issues.

 We have a contract opening in Columbus, Ohio for a Senior DevOps Engineer
who will work collaboratively with software engineering team to build and
support continuous delivery model.  He or she will help automate and
streamline operations and processes, build and maintain tools for
deployment, monitoring and operations, as well as troubleshoot and resolve
issues in Dev, Test, Stage and production environments.  This position
reports to the Senior Manager, Automation & Delivery and has no direct
reports.



*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

   - Install, configure, tune and support JBoss Application Server & Apache
   Web Server
   - Configure JBoss container resources (e.g., JDBC, JMS, JNDI) –
   manual/automated
   - Setup, and manage load balancing, clustering, failover
   - Install/setup/administer supporting tools (e.g., JIRA, Bamboo, GIT,
   Confluence)
   - Deploy applications to production and non-production environments
   (manual/automated).
   - Troubleshoot application & web server issues related to the platform.
   - Create support tickets and work with vendors as needed.
   - Participate in on-call rotation to assure 24x7 availability of the Dot
   Com website
   - Manage the daily operation of JBoss Application Server. Monitor
   resource utilization, including CPU, memory, and disk utilization. Report
   on system utilization and plan/implement recommended maintenance as
   required.  Perform impact analysis for appropriate tasks.
   - Participate in the design and configuration of secure access to server
   resources.
   - Apply and promote patches.
   - Develop, test, and implement automation scripts
   - Work with Developers and Database Administrators in the implementation
   of new applications. Identify impact to capacity.



*Required Skills and Competencies:*

   - An enthusiastic, highly organized self-starter and a team player that
   works well as a member of a diverse team with strong ability to multitask
   - 4-6 years’ UNIX/Linux administration (RedHat, AIX)
   - 2-4 years’ Apache/Tomcat
   - 2-4 years’ JBoss
   - 2-4 years’ experience with site caching performance, load balancing.
   - 2-4 years’ experience application hosting (eComm helpful, but not
   required)
   - Bachelor’s Degree
   - Prior experience with large scale J2EE deployments, Java programming
   or Software Development Life Cycle
   - High knowledge level of the Java application memory stack and tuning
   - Good knowledge and demonstrated troubleshooting abilities on
   connectivity issues due to firewall, load balancer, proxy, and others.
   - Scripting and other Skills: Shell, Perl, SQL



*Preferred Qualifications:*

   - Experience with an enterprise class performance monitoring and
   alerting solution such as Zabbix, WhatsUp, OpenNMS, AppDynamics, OpenView,
   Nagios, etc.
   - Experience with an enterprise class syslog solution like Splunk,
   LogLogic, etc.
   - JBOSS Certification (RHCJA - RedHat Certified JBoss Administrator)
   - Experience tuning ATG
