Unfortunately no.

you can check it out and get a demo at www.aptare.com

The beauty of this product is that it keeps a historical record of all
your backups in an Oracle database.
you access is from a Web Based Gui (no client involved) For example you
can run a report for one client or a group
of clients for the last 30 days, and drill down to see the details of each
backup. In addition you can use it
to run database queries and get text reports that you can e-mail. We use
if for SOX reports.

From our standpoint is is well worth the money.

Hi,

I use Netbackup NOM 6.5.x to monitor multiple master servers in my
environment. It works quite well.

Boris

You can change master servers bu right clicking on the master server at
the top of the left pane.
You also need to have all the master servers in your environment in the
additional servers under
host properties on your masters.

Also Aptare can monitor as many servers as you have in your environment,
we currently have three.

MASTERBKP2 is not the Netbackup Master Server or the Netbackup Media Server
 Pls. select a different server.

Any suggestions / advice how to configure all 3 for monitoring through Admin
 Console.

Edit your hosts file and make sure ROMNETBK and MASTERBKP2 map to IPs.
Make sure you can ping the IPs and there are no firewalls between you and
the remote master servers. Make sure you open a new admin console window for
each master server.

Re: [Veritas-bu] Need to Monitor Multiple Master Server through Admin Console

2009-02-17 Thread Dean
If you are talking about the Windows Admin Console (not the Java one), your
desktop hostname has to be added as a server on all master servers you want
to manage, and they need to be able to fully resolve the desktop's hostname
and IP address.
Check that there is a SERVER= entry for your desktop in each of the
master server's bp.conf files. Then run bpclntcmd -hn and bpclntcmd -ip from
the servers back to your workstation to check that everything resolves
nicely.

Cheers,
Dean
