Versions failing to register

2009-01-14 Thread Michael

I paid for a license yesterday and have since tried registering my
copy using all manner of things in the Name and Email fields (all of
these things correct I might add!) along with the license key I was
given, but each time I get the message 'Connection error. Please try
again later'.

Any idea why it's doing this?

Thanks.

Re: Set up for HTTP Subversion

2009-01-14 Thread Martin Streicher

To solve this, I did a traditional command-line checkout of the
repository and then added a bookmark to an existing working directory.
Once I did that, Versions prompted me for the directory and the
credentials and everything worked. I was just surprised I could not do
this from scratch in Versions to start the process.

I have been given access to Subversion whose URL is something

I have a user ID and a password.

When I visit the URL, I am asked to authenticate by the browser,
 apparently to browse the repository.

How do I setup Versions to access it? I continue to get...

 OPTIONS of 'http://mar...@dev.example.com/svn/foobar': authorization
 failed (http://dev.example.com)

Can Versions be installed as Administrator and be used by other users?

2009-01-14 Thread sje

We are installing Versions in a computer classroom environment. We
have individual licenses for each machine and have installed the
licenses as Administrator, as we typically do for other software
packages.

However, Versions is still requesting license information/running as a
demo from any login other than Administrator.

Have we missed a step with installation?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
