Expected FS format '2'; found format '3'

2009-08-27 Thread mole1066

I'm trying to connect Versions to a local Mac OS X version of svn.
However, I get the following error when I try to connect to the
repository

Expected FS format '2'; found format '3'

I have run the svnadmin command line to upgrade the repository, but
still get the same issue (the version is 1.5.0)

any thoughts?

michael

Your question is a little fuzzy. Are you talking about a Repository
bookmark, or a Working Copy bookmark?

This error is a symptom that your SVN tool is too old to interact with
the repository/working copy in question. Generally I'd expect to see
that error with working copies, but if your repository was created in
the 1.5 format and Versions is set to use 1.4, that could be your
problem too.

Re: External mere applications allowed in versions?

2009-08-27 Thread Dirk Stoop

Hi Rob,

See this page:
http://versionsapp.com/viewdocpage/versions_wf_comp_customscripts.html

And the files section of this google group for an idea on how to
integrate another app for comparisons.

If what you're planning on using is at least modestly popular, chances
are someone else already created a script for it and uploaded it here.

Cheers,
- Dirk

Anyway to add your own custom diff/merge application for use with
versions?  Seems in the preferences only specific applications are
being listed (TextWrangler, AraxisMerge, etc.).  I've got kDiff
installed which I would like to use as an alternative.  Is this
 possible?

Re: Merging Branches Into Trunk

2009-08-27 Thread Dirk Stoop

Hi Matt,

Branching and copying are supported, merging is not.

To branch or copy, simply hold down the option key on your keyboard
while you drag a folder in the Repository Browse view.

All the best,

Not even copying?! I want my money back. Back to the CLI...

Is there a way to do this in Versions?

  Thanks.
