Re: Waiting for transactions to finish on quit
I'm still getting this Waiting for transactions to finish message just about every time I quit Versions. Tips or a fix would be very welcome. Re: Waiting for transactions to finish on quit
Hi Rick, Thanks for your reply! I checked my Versions Preferences, and the Subversion Library is set to 1.6.17. If there's other info I can send - such as Console.app info that might be logged when this Waiting to Finish window is appearing, please let me know. We fixed up some of this in Versions 1.2, and I've not yet seen this issue again since then. This is the first I hear of this problem still existing since 1.2, so any information you can provide that would help us reproduce this here so that we can fix it would be appreciated. Re: Any plans for Mac App Store?
Jorde, It doesn't ask you to buy it again, it says it's installed if that's the case. I see the apps I already have as such event though I got them before the mac store was introduced. True, but there's a problem: http://www.tuaw.com/2011/01/07/third-party-apps-not-purchased-via-mac-app-store-may-appear-as-i/ Apple just released the Mac App Store, and with it came one very unfortunate feature. It was well-intentioned, but poorly executed, and it ends up being an attractive nuisance, meaning that it's something that you're really better off ignoring: third-party apps not purchased via the Mac App Store may appear as Installed there, leading to unrealistic expectations of what you can do with Apple's latest service... If you have not purchased an app through the Mac App Store, you cannot re-download it or get any future updates through the Mac App Store. Re: Resolving Conflicts or Merging in Versions
Asbjørn, If you renamed it in Finder, rename it again back to what it was and then use Version's rename functionality. Versions doesn't have a detect rename / move feature yet, so you can't really do stuff like this through the Finder. Wow - that would be a great feature. Do you know if it's planned? +1 in any case! Re: Merge branches and trunk
+1 on merge support, as well as a related feature, cherrypick On Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at 3:38 PM, mun munit...@gmail.com wrote: workflow is entirely different but definitely +1 on merge support. .m On Dec 1, 1:54 pm, Zanfe andrea.zanferr...@gmail.com wrote: Hi all, I'd explain my doubts. I usually have the stable version of my site in the trunk and I work, for the updates, in a branch. When I complete my updates I would put my branch version in the trunk, but if I drag my files and directory on the trunk, Versions doesn't overwrite the directories and so I can't overwrite the trunk. So I try to export the branch version and put the exported files and directories in the trunk but Versions doesn't like this operation and doesn't permitt me to commit. The only way to be able to put my branch version in the trunk and to commit it is to delete, form Versions, the trunck files, to commit, to put exported branch files in the trunk, to add files and directories and at last to commit the new trunk. Is it the only way to merge branch version with trunk version? Is not possible, in some way, drag branch files and directories on the trunk without problems? Re: Feature request: Ignore for multiple selection
+1 from me too. By the way, I have figured out that if I can get a carriage-return-delimited list of files that I want to ignore, I can paste them into the Inspector Properties Ignore Edit dialog. Using oXygen XML Editor's diff tool
If anyone uses the oXygen XML Editor, and wants to use its built-in XML-aware diff tool (DiffFiles), just copy the DiffFiles.sh from / Applications/oxygen into the Versions custom comparison scripts folder ~/Library/Application Support/Versions/Compare Scripts/, and change line 18 of DiffFiles.sh from: OXYGEN_HOME=`dirname $PRG` to: OXYGEN_HOME=/Applications/oxygen/ --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Versions group. Re: Using oXygen XML Editor's diff tool
Also, to get the DiffFiles icon to display correctly in the dock (instead of the generic app icon), change line 32 to include $OXYGEN_HOME, as follows: -Xdock:icon=$OXYGEN_HOME/DiffFiles.app/Contents/Resources/DiffFiles.icns\ I've uploaded the complete script to the Files section of the Versions Google Group. - Joe On Sat, Sep 19, 2009 at 10:01 PM, Joe Wicentowski joe...@gmail.com wrote: If anyone uses the oXygen XML Editor, and wants to use its built-in XML-aware diff tool (DiffFiles), just copy the DiffFiles.sh from / Applications/oxygen into the Versions custom comparison scripts folder ~/Library/Application Support/Versions/Compare Scripts/, and change line 18 of DiffFiles.sh from: OXYGEN_HOME=`dirname $PRG` to: OXYGEN_HOME=/Applications/oxygen/ --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Versions group.
