Thank you for your prompt replies. I just tested what Steve said - copy pages.
It didn't work because as Jeremy pointed out, Unfortunately you have to change
the name of the page widgets to be unique in the text file for this to work. It
also won't solve conflicts between the dataset names, etc.
So, what we need for Merge is automation in the creation and linkage of
missing datasets when copy pages from another .vsz file.
Its implementation in the next release of Veusz would be appreciated very much.
Thanks,
Weiguo
P.S.,
My test was the following:
1. Created a dataset for y=x, named test. Plotted it in Page 1. Saved to
test1.vsz
2. Created a dataset for y=x**2, also named test. Plotted it in Page 1. Saved
to test2.vsz
3. Copy page 1 of test2.vsz
4. Open test1.vsz and do paste, a Page 2 was created with a graph of y=x
instead of y=x**2, because the test dataset of test2.vsz was not copied.
5. Now I also copied the test dataset of test2.vsz to test1.vsz, a new
dataset test_2 was created.
6. But I had to manually change the name of dataset in Page 2 from test to
test_2 in order to achieve the purpose of merge or append.

Yes. It is also possible to concatenate the vsz files into the same file.

the text file for this to work. It also won't solve conflicts between the

I'm not sure what append does in origin, but you can copy pages or
graphs from one veusz file and paste them in another.

Hello,
I'm new to Veusz and already found it's delightful to use. I'd like
to ask
How can one merge two Veusz files into one, like the Append
function in Origin by OriginLabwhich I frequently used?
