[VFB] Re: off for 2 or 3 days
Just to confirm that I'm back. And it was somehow ffing related. The area is really great, and lots of people are fishing from the shore and from boats. And 50% of the passengers of the ferry did feed the fish in the North sea, it was a hell of a trip. My family and I didn't get seasick, but next to everybody in our surrounding. Back to the vise Rene rene.zillm...@t-online.de wrote: Hi Gang, I'll be off for some days, try to reach Helgoland, the only offshore island we have. Traded it years ago from the UK for Sansibar. Good trade G I'll go by ship, but weatherforecast is bad. They offer 2 ships from Cuxhaven, a smaller faster one (Cat) and a larger one. the smaller was cancelled today due to weather conditions. My tickets are for the larger one. My son Robert was on Helgoland for 4 weeks taking a lab in the hospital. We want to travel with him home. I'll explore some fishing oppotunities there, not for this trip - 60 miles wind and thunderstorms all over the weekend, but we are discussion a further trip with some rods Have fun Rene --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the VFB Mail group. [VFB] United Fly tyers 50th Anniversay Gala!
Important event for one of the oldest fly tying organizations in the country. United Fly Tyers 50th Anniversary Gala ! Time: October 25, 2009 from 5pm to 9pm Location: Longfellow's Wayside Inn Event Description: UNITED FLY TYERS 50th ANNIVERSARY GALA This year marks the 50th anniversary of United Fly Tyers, the country's oldest fly tying club. Since 1959, UFT has been an integral part of the fly tying landscape, attracting not only national, but international attention as well. Guest speakers have included many luminaries of the fly tying community and the club has provided fly tying education to literally thousands of people, many of whom have gone on to greatness in the art of fly tying. UFT's periodical, Roundtable, was the first and, at one time, only publication dedicated to fly tying. Members, men and women of all ages, continue to hold meetings on the first Thursday of each month in Woburn, Mass. and welcome any one interested in fly tying. For more information please go to www.unitedflytyers.org. Members, past and present, and the public are invited to United Fly Tyers 50th Anniversary Gala on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 5-9 in the evening to be held at the historic Longfellow's Wayside Inn, Wayside Inn Road in Sudbury, Mass. 01776.
