Keep up with the pills, someday you'll have your own Baits Hotel... and alter egos, i.e., voices that argue with you. Glad to hear you are doing so well. I go see the surgeon tomorrow for release. Looking back at what could have been, and what used to be, my brain surgery was less traumatic than my back surgery, and that wasn't bad at all. RE: [VFB] Fishining this morning
Tony and others: You might want to try one of these fly threaders. It holds the eye of the fly in line with the groove magnetically. After placing the fly, one simply pushes the tippet along the groove (from right hand side), through the eye of the hook and as you can see the end of the tippet comes out on the left. They green thread in the photo is simply a lanyard that the person is wearing around their neck so that the threader is always available. They retail online for about $10.00. The eye of the fly must be clear of any threads or hackles. Neville (Nev) Gosling Greater Vancouver, B.C. Re: [VFB] Fishining this morning
I had some 8X once but you have to play the fish so long and carefully that I got rid of it. I still have some 7X for tiny midges. They do alright with the 3 WT rod as the tip protects the tippet. Still I prefer a heavier tippet so I can land the fish faster unless the fish are tippet shy.
