RE: [VFB] QUOTE FOR THE DAY

2011-11-22 Thread Webb, Gary
Excellent quote.

But for me, I might add sausage and substitute a cold beer for the milk.

Trout fishing is always the best in the hardest to reach places, those with
the steepest, crookedest, bumpiest, narrowest roads, or no roads at all. That's
also where the bugs are thickest, but who cares about roads or bugs when you
can catch big trout all day! Rough roads, bugs and good fishing go together
like cheese and crackers and a glass of milk.

[VFB] Final Juicebug Swap Roster

2011-11-22 Thread Wes Wada
Here is the final Juicebug Swap roster. Two of the initial swappers never
responded to emails, so they have been dropped.

If you have your flies ready, please mail them. I will update the status
of the list periodically. If you are running behind, please let me know by
private message at wada@gmail.com

Again, the deadline for receiving the juicebugs is December 1st. I will be
attempting to photograph them as they arrive.

 1. Wes Wada, Swapmeister - done
 2. Ashley Strutt - done
 3. Eric Worm - working on them
 4. Michael Bliss - done
 5. Don O - done
 6. J. Balmer - working on them
 7. Chappy -done
 8. Walter - working on them
 9. Peggy B - working on them
10. Jack Lehman - working on them
11. Gary Webb - working on them
12. Bob Laubengayer - done

Many of the participants have already tied (and will send) 15 flies. We
will pool the extras and swappers will get a random selection equally
divided. That will give you some duplicates you can try out fishing. Any
odd number remainder will be donated to the local fly club raffle to
support fishing advocacy programs.

Toe-tag or otherwise identify your flies. Please include a reusable package
to protect your flies, and if all possible, a self-addressed return
envelope. Include cash for return postage or put a generous amount of
stamps on your return envelope.

Mailing address for swap:

[VFB] QUOTE FOR THE DAY

2011-11-22 Thread rayado
My wife said I have so many fly rods and reels
that I cannot possibly use them all. My reply
was that I had rods and reels to fish, rods
and reels to tinker with and then my fine
crafted rods and reels to fondle and admire,
while dreaming of trout fishing during the
cold winter months. You can imagine
what kind of look she gave me.
