Ron: I see. I’m in Alabama so we don’t have salmon or other fish besides large 
mouth bass that would need those type flies.  And for bass I usually just tie a 
good sized wooly bugger pattern and/or a Clouser minnow. However, the largest 
bass I have ever caught on a fly was a 4 ½ pounder I caught on a sized 14 fly
