I hope I didn't mislead any of you. These flys are new to me.

Over the years I've tied many "Easiest Ever Ant Pattern" patterns.

One of my all time favorites: The late Ed Sutryn's McMurray Ant:
https://www.flydreamers.com/en/fly-tying/mc-murray-ant-vl233 Years ago I
ordered some from Ed. Still in my vest. I'll never use them. But trout love
ants so even my poor copies produce. And I've tied Harrison Steeve's
TransparAnt.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uIKex5Z-Ws

Also Kelly Gallup's Ant Acid:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uuYX-cKqio

I've tied a variety of fur and foam ants.

But my newest ant pattern I'm tying is Mr. Bill's Flying Ant.

http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/fotw2/050806fotw.php

The other new to me fly is Justin Bruce's: Houdini Tenkara Fly:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIB18lIzwew
 =496s

I bought a $10 rod from China to try fishing the Tenkara method.

And I've tied a bunch of Kebari style flies. Which I'm hoping to try soon. On
most of the small streams I fish Tenkara will work well.

Chuck, furled leaders work really well with Tenkara rods.

Well that's what I've been up to this winter.

Good to hear you're getting healthier Chuck. I'm doing well, but

Susan has had some setbacks. I won't go into details. Just keep us in your
prayers as I know you do. Weather here is typical Wisconsin in February. Ten
inches of snow last Sunday and minus 18 this morning. The sun was shining but
I wasn't even tempted to try for some trout. Barely took my dog for a walk.
When we get a day where temps get above freezing I'll be out trying some new
patterns I tied recently.
