Pete: I’m with ya. And 4 of my 5 grand DAUGHTERS love to fly fish, even the 
“baby” at 2 ½ yrs old) has given it a try, and 2 out of my five grand DAUGHTERS 
(aged 13 and 15) have just started tying as well and love to fly TIE. It’s NOT 
a “Mans” sport anymore. From the books I’ve read and videos I’ve seen it never 
as, but you just didn’t hear/read about it as much. My 13 yr old grand 
daughters favorite fly to tie is thee bi-visible which is NOT as easy to tie as 
it’s looks, but she love mixing the colors . I’m teaching them by the “parts” 
method which means “OK, lets tie tails and we’ll tie tails of various 
materials, lengths. Then it’s own to “lets tie bodies”, then “lets tie legs, 
then thoraxes, then heads. And when w get through the various parts, I’ll let 
them to tie whole flies of which I’ll post pics of here. So far, their first 
attempts are betters than my first attempts LOL. Chuck

The pleasure was all ours, Peggy!  I greatly appreciate you taking time to 
speak with my autistic daughter.  She's getting into tying, despite her young 
age, but has been asking me (direct quote "Isn't tying and fishing only for 
boys?" so I'm thrilled to have had several women speak with her while she was 
at the show.  I don't know if we'll have her join my son and I at the January 
or March shows (Edison, Lancaster), depends on how she is those days... but 
we'll see.  She thoroughly enjoyed it, though!  She wanted me to say thanks to 
you.

[VFB] Suggestion for Paper Books with Czech / Euro / Jig nymph patterns in them

Hi, VFB folks - hope everything is well with you -
My son and I went to the International Fly Tying Symposium in Parsippany NJ
(USA) a weekend or so ago, and we both really enjoyed the flies tied by
Czech nymph master Jan Siman.  My son is asking me why there's a shortage
of books that speak about fly patterns tied in the realm of Czech nymph,
Euro nymph, or just jig nymph patterns, and my best guess is because
everything these days has gone digital - that is, everything has shifted to
instagram, facebook, or YouTube.

So with that hunch in mind, I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows of any
books that have a wealth of patterns specific to the Czech nymphs, Jig
nymphs, and/or Euro nymphing styles.  We can always use youtube, sure, but
what we're after is a paper book.  That said, if you know of a particular
tyer or channel on instagram or youtube, or the likes, please let me know
so we can check it out - if they deal specifically or mostly with those
types of nymphs, please.
